Game Rules and Gameplay 

What are the basic rules of the game?

  1. Find as many hidden characters as you can within 45 minutes. There are a total of 8 hidden characters
  2. Submit your answers as soon as you find them as submission time will be taken into consideration during points allocation.
  3. The first team to find hidden character A will earn 140 points, the second team will earn 139 points etc. No points given if hidden character is not spotted or if the keyword is spelt wrongly.
  4. Do fill up your correct team number. The event organiser will not be responsible for any wrong team number filled up.
  5. Do not share your answers.
  6. In any case of discrepancy, ThisisAnagram the official event organiser will have the final say.
  7. Answers submitted after 10.45am will not be taken into judging.
  8. If there is more than 1 team with the highest score, an electronic spin the wheel will be used to determine the final winner. The spin will be recorded and submitted to the audit team to ensure fairness. This spin will be done in IKEA's office and will be witnessed by at least 3 IKEA Co-workers who are not involved in the campaign.  

What areas of the store are out of bounds? 

  • "No Force" Policy: Emphasize that locks and props do not require brute force. Do not move any furniture in the showroom. 
  • Electrical outlets or drop ceilings are not part of the game.
  • No characters are hidden in the Cookware/Tableware section of the showrooms.
  • No characters are hidden in the Co-workers only Areas (i.e Offices, Fullserve area) 

Safety and Logistics 

Will the store be open to regular shoppers during the event?

Yes, the store will remain open. Participants must respect and be mindful of regular shoppers and keep the shopping experience comfortable for all. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any player who causes disruption, behaves inappropriately, or fails to be considerate of other shoppers. 

Is there a dress code?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for movement.

Is there a bag drop area?

All participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. There are lockers on Level 2 that are free to use but IKANO or the event organiser will not be responsible for these items.


What happens if there is an emergency?

Event staff and security personnel will be on-site. In case of an emergency, immediately locate the nearest event crew member and listen to IKEA’s security procedures


Hide and Seek Terms & Conditions

Before you join the  Hide & Seek event, please read our terms & conditions. 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. The IKEA Hide and Seek is open to all customers. To qualify for registration, you will need to form a team of two (2) persons. At least one member must be an IKEA Family member and the second member must be a minimum of 8 years old on the event date.
  2. Registration opens from 14 May to 31 May (both dates inclusive).
  3. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who must provide consent during registration.
  4. Registration is not a confirmation of your slot; a confirmation email will be sent to you one week before.
  5. By registering for the event, participants consent to IKEA and its appointed event partners to the collection, use and processing of their personal data for the purposes of event administration, coordination, communication and safety management.
  6. Registration which are incomplete, late or do not meet the criteria will not be accepted.
  7. The event is not open to IKEA co-workers and contractors.
  8. IKEA reserves the right to change the terms or duration of the event at any time.  Participants must ensure that they are physically and mentally fit to take part in the event.
  9. Participants with medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns should seek medical advice prior to registration.
  10. Participants must comply with all event rules, instructions from IKEA staff and safety guidelines at all times.
  11. Running in restricted areas, climbing on furniture, entering staff-only areas or any unsafe behaviour is strictly prohibited.
  12. IKEA reserves the right to disqualify any team for unsafe conduct, disruptive behaviour or failure to follow instructions, without prior notice.
  13. IKEA reserves the right to cancel the event without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances. We are not responsible for any damage, direct or indirect, resulting from such cancellation.
  14. IKEA shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons which at any time may have suffered or sustained during the event.
  15. By participating or entering the premises, you consent to IKEA, IKEA staff, IKEA affiliates and appointed partners to capture or record their photos and videos during the event and grant the rights of possession of the above-described and have full permission to use for marketing purposes.
  16. By participating in this event, participants give permission to IKEA, IKEA staff, IKEA affiliates and appointed partners to process the participants’ personal data, which is provided through the registration form entries for event purposes.
  17. The winning team will win 1,000,000 IKEA Family points and it will be credited into the account stated in the registration.

By submitting your personal data via "META” (which includes names, photographs, recorded audio/video, written communications and/or any other data attribute establishing the personal identity) you consent to Ikano Pte Ltd (IKEA Singapore) collecting, using, disclosing and/or processing your personal data for the purpose of the  ALLËNKI Giveaway Contest. During your course of dealing with us, we will process your personal data for the above mentioned purpose, including, to communicate with you, provide products and/or services to you, respond to your enquiries or complaints, identify you (including publishing your name and photograph) when you participate in the contest organised by us and other purposes required to operate and maintain our business as set out in our Personal Data Privacy Policy (collectively referred to as “Purposes”).
