Why can't I start my induction hob?

If you are having trouble starting the hob, it could be because the overheat protection is activated, there is an issue with the fuses, the control panel is wet, your fingers are wet, or the child lock is activated. Make sure you have dry hands and that the control panel is dry and clean. If it still doesn't start, check the fuses connected to the hob.

The overheat protection reacts to liquid, so if you have wet hands or if the surface is wet, the control panel may stop responding. Try to touch the sensor with your finger as horizontally as possible to ensure good contact.

There are usually two fuses in the electrical panel connected to the hob. Replace the fuse or reactivate the fuse if necessary. If there’s nothing wrong with the fuse, try turning off the hob for 30 minutes before reconnecting it to the power supply.

If the lights on all the heating zones are blinking or showing an error code 'E', the cookware you are using is likely not suitable for an induction hob. Try using another pot or pan that you know works with induction hobs. You can find out what different error codes mean and how to fix them here.
