Is it normal for my gas hob to smell of gas?
Your gas hob should not smell gas. If you smell gas, turn off the gas tap and gas cylinder immediately and contact IKEA.
If there is a smell of gas coming from your gas hob, there may be a leak at the hob's connection or externally on the gas line. Turn off the gas tap and gas cylinder immediately if you have one. If you have gas supply from the city gas network, you should instead turn off the gas via the grid connection. Then contact IKEA Customer Service, and we will help you further with your gas hob.
