How do I remove a RATIONELL drawer purchased after September 2013?
To remove the drawer from the runner, you need to press a small plastic catch located on the side of the sliding mechanism.
Follow these steps to remove your RATIONELL drawer from the rail in the cabinet:
- Pull the drawer out completely – as far as it will go.
- Feel along the outer edge of the drawer runners – there is a plastic catch.
- Press the plastic catch upwards – this will release the drawer from the runner.
It’s a simple mechanism, but the plastic catch can be a bit tricky to find the first time.
A tip is to use a flashlight if it’s dark inside the cabinet.

To remove the drawer front from a RATIONELL drawer purchased after February 2009, tilt up the plastic part located on the outside of the drawer and then pull it straight out from the drawer. Repeat this on both sides of the drawer to remove the drawer front.
