Cheap material, lacks durabilityAnonymous reviewerI bought a besta cabinet with door and a second shelf all in wood..."finish". I packed the cabinet to ship it and wherever packing tape touched the surface it pulled the wood "finish" off. Thats because it is a thin printed paper decal. When will I learn never to buy ikea "wood" furniture? Plant stands that dissolve when they touch water. bookcases that delaminate in the humidity of a basement. No more. Nothing like a cabinet with pieces of "veneer' missing. Now I get to throw it away.1

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction.
