This document regulates the general terms and conditions of use of the website of IKEA PORTUGAL – MÓVEIS E DECORAÇÃO, LDA., with registered office at Estrada Nacional 250, Rua 28 de Setembro, Frielas, 2660-001 Loures, Corporate Tax Number 505 416 654, registered at the Loures Companies and Land Registration Office under the same number (hereinafter, “IKEA” and “Website”).


By using the Website, you are automatically considered a User, which implies full and unreserved acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, in the version in force whenever you access the Website. If you do not fully agree with any of the conditions set out herein, you should not access/use our Website. When you check or use the Website, or download content from it, you undertake to respect the conditions set out in this document. You (the User) do not need to register in order to use the Website. However, some of the features of the Website can depend on registration.

You'll find the products sold by IKEA in its stores in Portugal on the Website. The product information shown on the Website gives you only a short, informative summary for your convenience and information. IKEA makes every effort to ensure that the information and data on the Website are accurate and up-to-date when they are included in the Website. However, IKEA does not commit to update and correct this information at all times. IKEA makes no express or implicit guarantee as to the accuracy or completeness of any information (including information on goods and services) included in the Website.

IKEA reserves the right to change, delete or move any information on the Website, at any time, without prior notice.

Users accept and expressly recognise that:

• Photos shown on the Website are for illustration purposes only. For an accurate description of any product and details of what is included with it, Users shall read the product information at Stores;
• The prices tagged are the recommended selling prices by IKEA, but this may vary depending on the Store chosen;
• IKEA will make every reasonable effort to include accurate, up-to-date information on the products on the Website. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
• IKEA does not guarantee the items shown on the Website are in stock, nor does it accept responsibility for discontinued items.


The IKEA Website allows you to add various products sold by IKEA to your shopping list.

Once you have selected the items you want, you can print out your Shopping List, save it on your computer in PDF format or send it by email.


The IKEA Website has IKEA Planning Tools, computer software that allows you to experiment with different combinations, designing a room, furnishing it, changing the furniture layout and choosing a variety of styles until you are happy with the result.

You can view and print the options you think are most satisfactory, including all the measurements.

Use of this computer software is dependent on reading and accepting the licence agreement.

In order to access a wider range of features, you can register your profile on the Website.

First you have to fill the form. There are some optional fields, but the following information must be included:

• Your first and last name;
• Email address;
• Password.

All the information you provide should be correct and true. You should update the information you provide to IKEA whenever any changes occur. You are exclusively responsible for any false, incomplete or inaccurate statements you make and for any damage caused to IKEA or third parties due to the information you provide.

IKEA will not be held responsible for any damage caused by misuse or carelessness with the password you defined for accessing your profile. You should assure the confidentiality of your password.


Registered Users can access a personal area, using the details they have specified on registration.

When you register, you can access the following additional features:


Registered Users can save their plans and shopping lists on the IKEA server. This means you can check them again later.


Registered Users can submit their CV (résumé) and cover letter to apply for the jobs available.

The information you provide is stored by IKEA, which may contact you about other jobs that may be of interest to you. This information will also be stored in the Kenexa BrassRing, located in the United States.

Unless otherwise provided for, all the Website materials, including the design, texts, graphics, photos and content displayed, are intellectual property held, controlled or licensed by IKEA. Any alteration, reproduction, duplication, copying, distribution, sale, resale or other form of use, for business or other purposes, is prohibited.

The terms set out on this document should not be construed as granting any licence or right to any intellectual property held by the Company or by third parties.


Users are responsible for the content of the information they submit or upload to the Website.

The User acknowledges that the use of the Website may not be 100% secure, and that there is a possibility that information sent/received may be tampered with by unauthorised third parties. IKEA is not responsible for security weaknesses in communications and accepts no responsibility for misuse of your information by third parties.

The User acknowledges that access to and use of the Website may be interrupted and that the Website information may contain bugs, errors, technical failures, problems or other limitations.

The Website may contain links to other electronic pages or be accessed through other electronic pages. IKEA may not be held responsible for these pages, in particular for the content control, availability, operation or performance of these.

To the extent permitted by law, IKEA disclaims any and all liability (direct or indirect) resulting from using the Website.


In the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions, IKEA reserves the right to take any and all action laid down by law. In addition, IKEA reserves the right to, at its own discretion, terminate access or use of the website, with or without prior notification of the User.

These Terms and Conditions of use of the Website are governed by the laws of Portugal.

If any provision described here becomes illegal, null or for any other reason unenforceable, that provision will be erased or reduced according to the law, but the remaining conditions stipulated herein shall not be affected, and shall be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent possible.

IKEA reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. Users shall be bound by the version of the Terms and Conditions in force each time the Website is used, so we recommend that you read it periodically.
