General conditions IKEA Business Network

This document regulates the general terms and conditions of IKEA Business Network.

1. The legal aspects

These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between the professional who registers as a member of the IKEA Business Network (the "Member") and IKEA PORTUGAL – MÓVEIS E DECORAÇÃO, LDA ("IKEA"). The Terms and Conditions govern a Member's membership in the network. IKEA may, in its sole discretion, modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, e.g. in case of changes to applicable laws, changes in services and features offered by IKEA, or when we introduce new services. Any such change will take effect fourteen (14) business days from the date on which we publish the updated Terms and Conditions. If the Member does not accept the changes, they have the right to terminate their membership in the IKEA Business Network. Any use of the IKEA Business Network membership and/or IKEA Business Network Account (as defined below) following communication of updated Terms and Conditions to the Member will be deemed acceptance by the Member of such updated Terms and Conditions.

2. The IKEA Business Network

As a Member of the IKEA Business Network, the Member's account will be accessible on the IKEA Business Network platform (the "Account"). Through the Account, the Member can purchase products and services for commercial purposes and access and use a series of features, services and benefits aimed at business customers. You Benefits and offers for IKEA Business Network members may change over time and IKEA reserves the right to add or remove benefits and services as it sees fit. Some benefits and services are only offered to the Member at a given time and any attempt to circumvent this right will be considered a violation of these Terms and Conditions, which may lead to termination of membership.

The card is valid in all physical units, website, via telephone number 217 005 024 and via email business.support.pt@ikea.com.To associate purchases with the Account, the Member must identify themselves during the checkout process. For online purchases, this is done by inserting the IKEA Business Network card number in the requested field, and for purchases in store, by scanning the IKEA Business Network card at the check-out.Offers and discounts on products and services

 

Through the IKEA Business Network, the Member will have access to a wide variety of discounts, offers and services.
For example, we offer discounts on interior design services to help Members create the space they need for their business. Additionally, IKEA Business Network members will receive discounts on selected products and services. It should, however, be noted that not all products offered to members of the IKEA Business Network have been approved for commercial use and that IKEA is not responsible for ensuring that products offered, or discounted, are in conformity or suitable for the intended use in the Member's activity.Offers, discounts and services will vary over time and may also differ from store to store.

Information about our current offers, discounts and services can be found on the Member Account page.Purchases made with the IKEA Business Network card entitle the member to receive: 

 

  • 3% direct discount on an invoice of €2,000 or more and a maximum value of €19,999.99, across all IKEA Portugal channels and valid across the entire series, except for Service product and IKEA Gift Card. This offer cannot be combined with other ongoing promotions. Returning one or more products will result in the loss of the offer value.
  • 6% direct discount on an invoice of €20,000 or more, across all IKEA Portugal channels and valid across the entire series, except for Service product and IKEA Gift Card. This offer cannot be combined with other ongoing promotions. Returning one or more products will result in the loss of the offer value.

 

Learn with IKEA
We want to support the growth of our Network members! That's why we created the "Learn with IKEA" program, which gives IKEA Business Network members access to educational content through training modules and newsletters on topics such as personal development, business development and creating spaces . We draw your attention to the fact that all content in the "Learn with IKEA" program was created exclusively for members and that you are prohibited from transferring, copying, recording, sharing, distributing or making available, in any other way, content from "Learn with IKEA" to anyone who is not a co-worker of the Member.People perks

 

We care about companies, but we care even more about people!
That's why we want to give IKEA Business Network members the chance to create a better everyday life for their co-workers! We've teamed up with a partner to offer members and their s access to a program of discounts and perks (which we call "Co-worker Offers"). Information about Offers for s can be found on the IKEA Business Network page and can be consulted via the link to the partner website. Co-worker Offers are offered by the partner directly to the Company's co-workers and are subject to the partner's specific terms and conditions. IKEA takes no responsibility for People Perks. Please note that Co-worker Offers have been negotiated exclusively for members of the IKEA Business Network and that the Member is prohibited from making Co-worker Offers available to anyone other than a co-worker.  

 

Payment within 30 (thirty) days
Members with a Portuguese tax identification number can apply for 30-day payment by logging in and accessing the “30-day Payment” tab. To do so, they must provide a valid password to the Permanent Certificate for approval by IKEA, and we will respond within 3 business days. If you are a Public Entity, please contact us via email: business.support.pt@ikea.com.After approval, based on IKEA criteria, the IKEA Business Network Member will be able to use the card to pay for their purchases within 30 days,

in physical units, by email or by telephone, providing the payment code. It is not possible to use 30-day payment for online purchases.

After making a purchase at IKEA, the customer must pay the corresponding invoice within 30 days, interest free, to the following bank account:

Failure to pay within 30 (thirty) days
If the customer does not pay the amount owed within 30 days, they will be notified by email and/or telephone. If this period ends without the Member having made full payment of the amount owed, IKEA will be forced to immediately activate all legal means at its disposal with a view to the coercive recovery of such credit, which will include default interest on legal terms and respective legal costs. IKEA reserves the right to revoke payment within 30 days to Members who fail to pay invoices issued more than 30 days ago. The Member acknowledges and fully accepts the aforementioned conditions, as well as IKEA's right to take legal action against them for the coercive collection of amounts owed due to non-payment of all invoices issued more than 30 (thirty) days ago. 

3. IKEA Business Network Account Creation

The Member must create an IKEA Business Network Account by providing accurate, current and complete information, which includes name , business address, tax identification number and company e-mail address, and undertakes to maintain IKEA informed of any changes made to this information. You can also add your preferred store, which we will then use to send you information about local store events and other relevant information connected to that store.

By registering an IKEA Business Network Account, the person acting on behalf of the Member confirms that the person submitting the registration has the authority and powers to bind the Member and is eligible to register an IKEA Business Network Account.

The Member also represents that it has all necessary rights, powers and authority to enter into and perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

The IKEA Business Network Account is non-transferable and can only be used and accessed by the Member, directly and exclusively for their own business purposes. The Member acknowledges that the Account may not, under any circumstances, be used for the resale of IKEA products or services to third parties.

4. IKEA Business Network Account Administrators

The Member may choose to have multiple users linked to their Account, including multiple users with administrative rights. The person who creates the Member Account is automatically its administrator. The Member must always have at least one user with administrative access. The administrator may (i) invite other co-workers of the Member to become users and administrators of the Account, (ii) delete individual users, (iii) delete or change Account settings (for example, select preferences), (iv) view the Member's entire purchase history, including the names of colleagues who placed an order. A normal user can only view their own Account activity and (v) apply for payment within 30 days (subject to approval).

Each user will receive an IKEA Business Network card (the "Card") which will be used to identify them as a member of the IKEA Business Network. The Card is not transferable and can only be used by the person whose signature is on the card. The Card is not a debit card, credit card or guarantee card.

The administrator is responsible for ensuring that all users of the Account work for the Member or are authorized to act on the Member's behalf.

IKEA will store and process personal data of the individual users of the Network Account. The Professional confirms that it will inform these people of the contents of the IKEA Privacy Notice.

5. Return of Merchandise

The Member can exchange or return the products, provided they are in their original packaging, unopened, and have not been assembled. The Member can exchange or return their products, with either a direct exchange of the same and there may be associated transport costs, or in case of return of the items the Member will be reimbursed for the amount only after the invoice has been properly collected within 30 days (in case the member has a 30-payment option) and always reimbursed using the same payment method.

6. Guarantees & warranties

Products sold by IKEA, within the scope of the IKEA Business Network programme, have a guarantee valid for the legal period of six (6) months, in accordance with article 921, paragraph 2 of the Civil Code.The warranty for your product begins on the same day of delivery. To enforce the warranty claim, the proof of purchase is essential.

7. Acceptable Use

The Member may only use the Account for business, commercial and authorized purposes, such as purchasing, using planning tools and/or communicating with IKEA. The Member must not (and shall ensure that its users do not) misuse or tamper with the features and services that it gets access to through the Account (e.g. hack, introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, carry out denial of service attacks or any other technologically harmful practice or materials) or otherwise mess with our technologies or functionalities.

The Member is responsible for all activities that occur under their Account and must ensure that all users maintain the confidentiality of their access codes. If the Member is convinced that an unauthorised person has gained access to a password and/or the IKEA Business Network Account, the Member must contact IKEA immediately and change any passwords that have been compromised. The Member must ensure that their users always log out of their Account after each session ends. IKEA will not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from the Member's failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions

8. Copyright, trademarks and patents

Title, ownership, rights and intellectual property rights in and to the Account, ikea.com and the IKEA brand will continue to be retained by IKEA or its franchisor, Inter IKEA Systems BV

Use of the Account does not grant the Member the right to use or reproduce any of our materials protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents, or other proprietary rights or materials. The Member also confirms that it will not use its relationship with IKEA for any marketing or financing purposes or as reference in any company presentations or press releases, or in any way utilise (either on the Internet or in any other way communicate to the public) any trade name, trademark, service mark, logo or other distinctive brand feature of IKEA, Ingka Group or Inter IKEA Group.

9. Termination and suspension of IKEA Business Network Account

The Member may terminate membership in the IKEA Business Network at any time by deleting the Account. In the event of termination, the Member will no longer be able to benefit from the services and offers of the IKEA Business Network.IKEA may, in its sole discretion, terminate or suspend a Member's membership in the IKEA Business Network by sending notice to the administrator(s) of the Member's Account.

Member, if one of the following occurs: (a) if we have evidence, or reason to believe, that the Member uses the Account in violation of these Terms and Conditions, (b) if IKEA reasonably suspects that fraudulent activities have occurred, ( c) any other use of the Account that is not acceptable to IKEA, or (d) if the Member's account has been inactive for more than 5 years. Inactivity means that the Member has not interacted with IKEA, for example by logging into the Account or opening our emails. We also reserve the right, with or without notice, to remove or edit content, modify, suspend or discontinue the availability of any features or services and charge, or stop charging a fee for any services, under the Account.

Sections 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 shall survive the termination or expiration of these Terms and Conditions.

10. Indemnification

Member agrees to defend, indemnify and hold IKEA harmless from and against all liabilities, damages, losses and expenses of any kind (including reasonable legal fees and costs) relating to, arising from, or in any way connected with any of the following ("Claim"): (a) the Member's access to or use of the IKEA Business Network and the Account, including information provided in connection therewith, (b) the Member's breach or alleged breach of these Terms and Conditions or the applicable law and (c) any false statement made by the Member.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable legislation, IKEA will not be liable to the Member for any damages of any kind, including without limitation any indirect, special or consequential damages, arising out of the use or inability to use the Account, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages or for any claim by any other party. IKEA does not guarantee that any of the products or services purchased by the Member from IKEA are suitable, appropriate or legal for use in the Member's business operations.

12. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal, without taking into account any rules or principles on conflicts of laws. Any dispute, claim or controversy arising or relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved by the applicable courts in Portugal.
