How can I book or cancel an assembly service?

If you don't feel like assembling your IKEA items yourself, our partner Taskrabbit is here to help! Through Taskrabbit, IKEA offers the assembly service to all customers at an affordable price, allowing you to save money. If you want to hire a service, it's simple! You can do it in one of the following ways:

  • Step 1: Book the assembly service via Taskrabbit in shop or online.  Simply tick ‘Assembly service’ on all the items you want or, during the checkout process, select ‘I would like to receive a quote for the assembly service’ after choosing the delivery option.
  • Step 2: You will receive a welcome email from Taskrabbit which includes the next steps: account verification and assignment of a Tasker, an independent qualified professional, for your assembly service.
  • Step 3: Communicate with your Tasker to confirm the date of the assembly service. 
  • Step 4: Enjoy your furniture!

Change of plans? We understand. Contact Taskrabbit customer service and cancel or reschedule any job, free of charge, with at least 24 hours' notice.
