Excellent quality and great workSharmilaI really love this product, it does the work perfectly and easy to wash5
Works great! Easy to use, easy to clean. Great valueManidipaAfter decades of wrestling with assorted fiddly garlic presses, one that actually works... Even Victorinox failed me, spectacularly and expensively. This just works! Also the bit that holds the garlic clove comes out, so easier to tip into pots/bowls, as well as easier for washing thoroughly. Feels good in the hand too. The Vardagen version *may* be slightly more ergonomic — but I suspect this will hold up better to finding itself in a dishwasher or rinsed in hard water. Teensy niggle and that's a very subjective aesthetic one — I'd prefer a slightly rounded set of handles (the tips, vs the cut-off look) — but that's a minuscule compromise for something that works well and effortlessly even for weak / small hands (like children's!) and is anyway not meant to stay out on the counter5
Not worth the buyAmitIt worked well for the first two- three days after that the paint started bubbling up and chipping off as rust started forming on it. Big disappointment 1
RustedDollsyThis being a kitchen item should be waterproof but after using it for a while the plating came off and metal started rusting.1

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing things – without losing its valuable properties.
