The 2 containers are easy to remove and carry since they have handles.
The size of the bins inside is perfect for things that you want to empty often or that take up less space, such as cans and small packaging
Plastic pedal broke so easily!PrernaThe KNÖCKLA pedal bin works well at first. But after normal use, the internal plastic part in the pedal mechanism broke, making the bin difficult to open and effectively unusable.
This is disappointing because it’s not the first time this has happened. I’ve previously owned 2 BROGRUND touch-top metal bins, and both of them also failed over time due to the plastic opening/closing mechanism inside. In each case, the entire bin had to be discarded because a small internal plastic component gave way.
These products don’t fail immediately but the durability of the mechanism is clearly an issue. It’s frustrating and honestly wasteful to have to replace large items like bins because of fragile plastic parts that cannot be repaired. I like IKEA’s design and usability, which is why I keep coming back, but this has been a repeated experience. I would strongly hope IKEA looks at improving the durability of these products or offering a way to repair them instead of requiring full replacement.

Poor Gum for Labeling.AvThe product is good and we liked it. But our joy and pleasure are gone when I tried to remove the big labels from the bin. The gum quality is so bad that even after soaking for one hour and put hard efforts in removing label, the Gum is stick badly and it spoiled the beauty of the bin. One the gum should have been of good quality. Your experts should study the science behind the gum labeling and select the right gum. In fact the label should have been pasted at the back or bottom of the bin rather than in the front.
This is the second product from IKEA that gave me this issue. It was tooth brush holder. When I tried to remove the label the color came off the item making ot ugly. Time for IKEA to look such minute details.

Good looks, bad function.Anonymous reviewerIt looks great. So good that I actually got two of them. However the bad thing is that soft close mechanism.
The soft close doesn’t always work and that’s a bummer at this price. Quality overall seems decent.
They are slim but wide, which we found works for our usage. The rim given to mount a garbage bag feels flimsy. Time will tell how much value these bring into our home.
Although for the price, I think there are better options available in the market if one is ok compromising with aesthetics.
