The 3 fixed shelves are positioned to fit most common book sizes. The sides function as built-in bookends.
A gap between the shelf and the wall makes it easy to route cables, for example, if you want to place a lamp or charge your phone on the shelf.
The loop-shaped bottom of the side units can be used to hang things like headphones and jewellery.

It's sturdy and stylish. Excellent in form and function. No problems installing. Ours is placed near a bathroom sink, and we use one of the little side bars to hang a hand towel.
