It’s easy to keep the cables from your TV and other devices out of sight but close at hand, as there are several cable outlets at the back of the TV bench.

The cable outlet at the top lets cables run down smoothly into the TV bench.

The legs raise your BESTÅ combination from the floor, giving it a light airy look and making it easy to clean the floor underneath.

The two drawers make it easy to keep remote controls, game controllers and other TV accessories organised.

The drawers close silently and softly, thanks to the integrated soft-closing function.

Good to know

We recommend a TV bench to be a bit wider than the TV placed on it. This TV bench suits a TV up to 45 inches. You can choose a larger TV if it’s not heavier than the specified max load for the bench’s top.

If you choose the soft closing function for your BESTÅ, we recommend complementing the fronts with knobs/handles to make the drawers/cabinets more convenient to open.

The top panel of the TV bench is intended for a TV with a maximum weight of 16 kg.

If you want to create a uniform look throughout the home, you can combine SELSVIKEN front with the matching FARDAL door for PAX.

Knobs and handles are sold separately.

Poor Design and AestheticsAnonymous reviewerI bought this product recently as per recommendation from the IKEA designer (i had bought advanced design service from Ikea). After doing the installation, I realised that there seems to be a design flaw in the product. There is a 1-2 inch gap between the push-open drawer and the frame. Also the shelf is not fully aligned with the end of the frame and ends with a 1-2 inch gap. Because of this, the bench does not look aligned and is not asthetically pleasing to look at. Also you can see the contents inside the drawer because of the gap. It would have been good if the photographs of the product in Ikea website depicted this. I also did not read the reviews of the product before purchasing (as this was recommended by the Ikea designer) which also point to the same issue. I have now raised request to replace this product with another one3

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
