Easy display ideas for your collections
Add to the feel of your home by displaying the still lifes and compositions you create. Doing it the way you like is fun and rewarding! Big or small, colourful or graphic, cute or bold - choose whatever inspires you.

Connect them with a common theme
If you are unsure about how to start displaying your collections, a good idea would be to keep it bright and colourful. Or maybe stick to one theme, as we have with the horses. The best thing about grouping together several items of a similar theme is that individual pieces with defects get overlooked. It’s the total that catches the eye.
Find a home for them in display shelves
Your memorabilia deserves a safe place to call home. Create a safe sanctuary for them using display units and shelves. A common colour scheme gives them a more refined look. If you have a hobby, like stitching or tailoring, why not use it to present a beautiful collection. A particular style, colour, time period or theme look stunning when you put them all together.
The best thing about grouping and gathering objects is that you lose yourself in a different world. Not to forget the endless possibilities it opens up. And if you don’t like the result, you can always mix things up!
A clear glass display is perfect for your collections
Displaying your treasures in clear shelves and glass cabinets allow them to be admired by all. How about using a glass jar for collecting fragile things like shells and bird’s eggs or small items like beads and pearls. They look beautiful and more precious sitting together as a single mass in the jar. If you want to store something really important, a bell jar attracts more attention and keeps them safe too.
Sometimes, things that are not too pretty by themselves look great together. Create something fun out of such items, show off things that are beautiful or enhance their existing beauty.
Colour code your collections
In life, sometimes you end up preferring one thing over another. And that’s completely fine! Create a thing of beauty by grouping together all of your blue vases. Placing together multiple items that look almost the same is an interesting and manageable way to create a sense of drama around the house.
There’s no such thing as perfect. Just move your collections around until you find something that looks beautiful. How do you know it’s right? It should make you happy!
Not just for fancy collectables
Still life displays are not limited to fancy things. How about using open wall shelves, in say your kitchen, to display the everyday items. Move things around till you are happy with them. Like grouping your glassware by colour in the glass cabinet to make it more eye-catching. Take a good look around your home, and you are sure to find unassuming objects that you can turn into collections.
A safe space for your treasures
With collectables, neat and organised is the way to go! Display them for everyone to see with the help of display units, shelves and cabinets. Go for a glass display cabinet or choose one from our SAMMANHANG range which is specifically created with collections in mind.
