This soft sofa will have a long life since the seat cushions are filled with high resilience foam that gives good support for your body and quickly regains its original shape when you get up.
The sofa's sections can be combined in different ways to get a size and shape that suits you and your home.
You can create your own perfect combination with the planning tool. Assemble, take apart and put together again until it’s just right.
The wide armrests have room for everything from your mobile phone to a bowl of movie snacks – and they are also comfortable to lay your head on when you lie down on the sofa for a rest.
You can complete with VIMLE headrest to extend the backrest of the sofa, so that you sit even more comfortably with a nice support for your neck.
This cover is made from Saxemara fabric in cotton and polyester. The needlecord corduroy is soft yet durable and has a modern, elegant look.
The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and machine washable.

Just as comfy as our previous expensive Sofology leather three seater chaiseAnonymous reviewerMy brother has an IKEA sofa and after 8 eight it is still comfy, so rather than spend what would’ve been between 5-7K on new leather sofas, we ordered online after researching and reading a lot of reviews. Two three-seater sofas and a footstool arrived, great delivery service, well packed. We spent about 5 hours putting them together (plus a couple of hours ironing the covers – thick cotton, not a quick job). I love how very different they feel versus smooth leather - I bought different throws, real sheepskins, a few cushions and my lounge is now transformed - looks cosy, welcoming, and the sofas are super comfy, not too soft and not too firm – supportive. We have one each, one with high arms, one with low arms, in grey, what is important is the comfort, and for both of us, these sofas are great to stretch out on and relax, most evenings we both fall asleep, and if I had to, I could easily spend a night snoring on my new sofa.

Anonymous reviewerI’m writing this 16 months after we purchased the 3 and 2 seaters in hallarp grey and can still say we absolutely love them and have held up amazingly with 3 young children and 2 adults. The quality is brilliant! We have recently moved to a bigger house so we wanted to add to our 3 and 2 seaters and make it one big U shaped couch, so bought two corner sections and another 2 seater. That’s one reason why we love this range because you can create your own couch to meet the size and needs of your home/family. The seats are large and very comfortable. We love that the covers are removable and washable which with young kids has come in handy a lot! All of our family and friends love our Vimle sofa and always comment on how comfortable it is. It may not look as “posh” as the Kivik range (which we have in the other lounge) but they are the comfiest couches and great for a family.

Seating section collapsed after 9 months useAnonymous reviewerThe only "chipboard" part of the sofa that holds the spring seated part to the armrest broke after 9 months of 2 people using it. After a week of being told a specialist will take a look at the case I'm told that it will be another 3-4 days before I get an answer on if they will replace the faulty part. I'd expect something of this price to last longer than 9 months and for a quicker response from IKEA when we reported that it has broken and sent in photos. Overall this sofa has been comfy to use, but I think there is a serious design flaw where wood has not been used on a key part that hold the seating section to the arm rests. The shock of this snapping while we were sitting on it makes me want to throw the whole thing out, and I would not reccomend this be used for 3 people or anyone with kids. I am also incredibly disappointed with the customer service that IKEA have provided as it has been radio silence unless I have called up to find out what's going on.

The wide arms feel quite premium, solid construction and soft padding around them, just the right height to lean on or to lie on. The grey material is nice, looks quite expensive and goes with anything. It was easy to assemble, but getting the covers on the arms was a little bit tricky! Glad I got this sofa, it's great, and if and when I might want to redecorate or need new covers its great that you can change them out!

Not very comfortable and provides no supportAnonymous reviewerI had high hopes for this sofa and loved the look, but have ended up highly disappointed.
My biggest qualm is that the seat has a significant backward/downward slope which wasn't evident in the online photos. The cushions are soft, but don't really provide any support to counteract this, so your legs, pelvis, and spine get pushed out of alignment. I've found it becomes quite uncomfortable if you try to sit for more than a few minutes. The slope also makes it very difficult to get back up out of the sofa.
The foam on top of the armrests is also quite thin, so they aren't comfortable to lean on/rest a head on if you were hoping for that with low armrests.
Machine washable covers are nice, though the black/blue corduroy covers look a little cheap.
Overall, I'm quite disappointed and wish I could return it as this is quite an expensive item to be too uncomfortable to use regularly.
