The zipper is child-safe since we took away the tab on the zip. To open and close, insert a paper clip through the loop. Make sure you always remove the paper clip afterwards.

It's been slept on about 10 times by my daughter. Such a shame as it was great at first but feel really let down.
Versatile, Comfortable Sofa with Great FeaturesAnonymous reviewerI’m very happy with my IKEA VIMLE sofa. It’s a versatile, well-designed piece with a sofa bed, chaise, and built-in storage, making it far more practical than a standard sofa.
Although it looks large, it fit perfectly in my older UK-style living room with a chimney wall (around 3 × 4 metres) without overpowering the space. The modular design makes it suitable for many room layouts.
Some people mention that the cushions need occasional adjustment, but that’s expected with a sofa that converts into a bed and includes multiple configurations. You can’t expect everything to stay fixed when the sofa is designed to adapt.
I’ve only had it for a week so far, so time will tell how well it maintains its shape, but first impressions are very positive. Overall, it’s comfortable, practical, and great value for money.
Worst sofa everAnonymous reviewerSeat cushions keep sliding down, which is annoying and looks very messy - especially with kids sitting on it, but even with adults . When you open the sofa the mattress is not straight, it’s sagging significantly, it feels that the head of the bed is sinking and the foot of the bed is rising. Wish we had bought a different sofa bed

The bed is also quite comfortable. Slept on it for a week. Overall a very value for money product. Hope the longevity is good. I have only used it for 2 weeks. Very happy for now
