No support, poor mattressAnonymous reviewerThis is a very poor quality mattress. Ive purchased mattresses from Ikea in the past and was always satisfied, so was shocked to see how this mattress compares. Completely sinks in and has no side support. So if you/your child tend to turn in your sleep you might find yourself rolling off the bed. I've had to use a bed guard where my child has never previously required one. I did mention to customer service that the mattress was too soft and isnt consistent with what I've had before, to which they mention the firmness is subjective therefore wouldnt fall under being faulty (what is the point of describing your mattresses as firm/medium-firm then?) Returns would have been at my own cost at which point I decided its not worth spending any extra with Ikea.1
Nice but heavyAnonymous reviewerI bought a single Vesteröy mattress to go on a slatted base. It is comfortable, but it slips about on the slats. It is also so heavy that I find it impossible to lift it enough to tuck the fitted sheet underneath.4
ComfortableAnonymous reviewerWe are so relieved this mattress worked out. Over the last few years we've had disastrous mattress purchases being too soft, or the sides collapsing or humps in the middle etc. The sides remain firm when sitting on the side of the bed, no more feeling of rolling off when lying in bed. No humps in middle so far, but only had it a few weeks. It's firm but not too firm but because we have been so used to overly soft mattresses we did decide to put the mattress topper from the old mattress on it, which was a firm topper to try make the old mattress less soft!, and it took the comfort to another level. Daughter also has the same mattress we bought recently too and she also needed a mattress topper but probably if we'd given it more time to break it in, we might not have needed the topper.5
Really firm, comfy and affordableAnonymous reviewerI was pleasantly surprised this mattress is reasonably priced but as good as any of the more expensice brands. I have back problems so needed something firm and this does the job. It is also packaged in a compressed way so it fit in my car and i was able to take it home carry up the stairs and put on the bed myself.5

I've now had it one week and I can honestly say it's the best mattress I've ever had and I've had the best night's sleep since buying it. Happily recommend it. 5

Shame - I used to have a HOVAG mattress and that was amazing. These mattresses are horrible poor quality by comparison. Save your money and buy something decent1
Value for moneyAnonymous reviewerGot this mattress for my son’s bedroom. It’s a tiny bit smaller than the bed frame which wasn’t from IKEA but it doesn’t move around as it quite heavy. Firm to support his back, and deeper than the previous one he was using; which makes it super comfortable. He’s very happy with it. There are some ridiculously priced mattresses out there and this one delivers good quality at a reasonable price. Win win!5

This mattress combined with the slated frame is the most comfortable bed I have slept in,I have always struggled to fine a mattress that supports my body correctly,not too hard ,not too soft ,I have suffered with lower back pain for many years and sleeping has always been an issue ,but now after purchasing the Vesteroy mattress from IKEA I've had no flare ups ,so in my opinion this is an extremely good quality and reasonable priced product.There has been on sagging or reduced support even though I spend a lot of time sitting up in bed as well as sleeping.I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone.i have purchased much more expensive mattresses in the past ,only to fine that after a very short time the support has deteriorated but not with this one.I have since purchased another one for my daughter and she is also over the moon with it5
