Good to know

The air purifier comes with a particle filter to clean the air from different particles as efficiently as possible. The replacement filter to be used is UPPÅTVIND filter for particle removal.

Optimised for rooms of 7 m2 where air is filtered through the air purifier 5 times per hour. It is also fine to use in larger rooms, with a bit longer cleaning time – or use several to cover a larger area.

The particle filter is optimised to filter away more than 99.5 percent of small airborne particles such as PM2.5 particles, dust and pollen

Activities in the home like cooking and using an open fireplace and sprays can release harmful PM2.5 particles. They can also seep in from polluted outdoor air.

PM2.5 are small inhalable particles, that measure 0.1-2.5 micrometres.

Practical cable management allows you to easily slide the cord into one corner of the air purifier to hide it and avoid frustrating cord clutter.

Check regularly if the filters are dirty. A LED indicator illuminates when the particle filter needs to be checked and possibly replaced. It’s recommended to replace the particle filter after max. 6 months.

The particle filter is tested according to EN 1822-1 and ISO 29463-3, which corresponds to class EPA12 and means that it filters away more than 99.5% of all airborne particles.

EPA12 filters are used so that the air purifier delivers as much clean air as possible while keeping the noise level and energy consumption down.

Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR): Lowest fan speed 31 m3/h, highest fan speed 95 m3/h.

Noise level: Lowest fan speed 31 dB, highest fan speed 55 dB.

Power consumption: Lowest fan speed 2.4W, highest fan speed 8.0W.

Reviews

NoisyAnonymous reviewerIt seems to be working. However it is definitely not silent. There is a continuous whirring/clicking noise. I am wondering is it supposed to make this noise?3
Top-notch productAnonymous reviewerAbsolutely excellent air purifier, just changed the filter for the first time and was shocked how blackened it had become - a must if you live in a built up area. I leave it running 24/7 on low in the bedroom.5
Great purifiers but making clicking soundAnonymous reviewerHi Ikea, I now have three UPPATVIND's in different room and sometimes they make annoying clicking sounds. To be fair, I am delighted with these little purifiers but would love to open them up to see what is causing the sound. The screws in the body of the purifier are in deep narrow recesses and look as if they have triangular heads which I am having difficulty identifying. Can IKEA or someone else please tell me the type of screwdriver I would need for this? I can't afford to replace the purifiers. I do a lot of intricate Laptop/PC work so these tasks are well within my abilities. Many thanks.5
Brilliant air purifierAnonymous reviewerI purchased 1 of these for my bedroom as my house gets so dusty. I live across the road from a large school that burns pellets for their heating. It has really reduced the amount of dust in my bedroom so I purchased 2 more so the kids have one each in their bedrooms. Ive noticed that my son is less snotty in the mornings. So a win win. They are cheap to run, filters are cheap and the product is cheap to purchase.5
Excellent productAnonymous reviewerI have an old bathroom which has a musty damp smell. I put this in the room and it worked well to reduce the smell. Extremely quiet too.5
Great Purifier that is smart compatible. And very low power.Anonymous reviewerThis is a great purifier, small and looks great in our house. I can confirm that it can work with a smart plug. I was worried that when the smart plug turn off, then on again the purifier would return back to standby (off), but it doesn’t. So you can use a smart plug to turn it on and off via Apple Home like I use. Additionally the purifier uses hardly any power, even on the top setting. On medium setting it uses 0.6 of a watt. Ikea has made a very good product here.5
Excellent Anonymous reviewerWell made, quite does exactly what it says, i brought two.5
Achieved what I hoped it would!Anonymous reviewerI brought this product out of curiosity and once I saw it on sale I thought it was worth a try. I had been concerned about a lingering malodour in my bedroom and after changing the bedding more frequently, airing by having doors and windows open and even getting the curtains and carpets washed, something still remained. Although, as soon as the air purifier had arrived I switched it on for only half an hour and left. I returned to find the bad smell gone - this was set on low too! Suffice to say it achieved both what I had hoped and what it claims.5
ExcellentAnonymous reviewerGood countering the effect of hayfever.5
Does what I want it to do Anonymous reviewerThis was recommended to me as I have long covid and hay-fever. So far I'm finding it works for me, I can really tell the difference if I don't use it 5
PLEASE remove the ultra bright LED light!Anonymous reviewerIt's not the noise of the thing that'll keep you up all night, it's the super bright LED light that'll steal your precious beauty sleep! I don't understand why companies insist on putting LED lights on everything these days. There is simply no need for 3 different levels of light to indicate what mode it's on... at the very least, please make it so that this light can be turned off without having to turn the entire product off altogether. If it weren't for the silly LED I'd happily rate higher - it does the job it claims to do. But the compact tidy design is ultimately useless if you want ever plan on using this in a bedroom at night as there is no way to position the thing to cover the light. To add salt to the blinding wound, even if you do end up trying to cover it with a rogue sock or something, the light is so bright it shines through the plastic on the sides, and reflects off of the product itself, since it is white. Call me a drama queen but this is really very annoying!2
Can’t tell if it’s workingAnonymous reviewerHad it over a year and still seems to not need a new filter??? Can’t be working properly! 1
Actually works well! Anonymous reviewerBought to improve air quality indoors and was easy to work out. Came with one filter and I bought two spares whilst in store. Looks nice and is relatively quiet. Hoping we will notice the difference the longer it’s on. Great for the money. 5
Compact, tidy, and quietAnonymous reviewerA nice little air filter that unobtrusively sits there and does the job. We're happy with how it's cut down the dust in the air for us5
Good Anonymous reviewerGood5
Silent Anonymous reviewerSilent and very easy to operate 5
I bought an UPPATVIND a few months ago and now needed a filterAnonymous reviewerIKEA H/D told this product is NOT discontented. Replacement filters are unavailable so I just got the FÖRNUFTIG filter - it is exactly twice as wide so I just cut it in half and it fits the UPPAVIND perfectly. SO I have 2 UPPAVIND filters (£6) for the price of one FORNUFTIG (£5). It works perfectly well.5
No replacement filters available Anonymous reviewerUseless as you can’t replace filter as there aren’t ever any in stock. I have been trying to replace filter since August 2024 to no avail. Buy one that replacement filters are available.1
Doesn’t workAnonymous reviewerI purchased the item and had taken it home, followed the instructions, only to find out that it doesn’t turn on. I tried many outlets to no prevail.1
DON'T BUY: No replacement filter availableAnonymous reviewerThe product works fine, quite and discrete. The bad part is, I've had it for 6 months and it's time to replace the filter, but there isn't any stock available - as of 29/9/2024 there's only ONE unit available at Hammersmith store, but it is no where to be found; no stock at any other locations nationwide. Will update if there's any restock. 1
