Smaller than expectedAnonymous reviewerPurchased online and yes my bad, I didn't double check the dimensions, but judging by the picture of someone carrying it, I thought it would be a bit bigger! The model used in this picture must be tiny because next to them it looks like a decent size tote (perhaps large enough to use as a beach bag) however in person it's more the size of a waste paper bin. Mine also arrived very flattened (probably for delivery) so it currently won't stand up on it's own as shown in the first picture but I'm hoping with some use and time to relax it will. Its not quite what I expected but its still got some rustic charm so I will hang it near the front door to keep gloves etc. in. Anyway lesson learned. Check the measurements!

When we developed TOLKNING, we worked with experienced artisans. The result is a decorative and multi-functional series of natural fibre products that carry warmth, a unique expression and lots of character.
Simi Gauba and Kristin Pfannenschmidt are two of our product developers who are based in Vietnam and work a lot with natural fibres. “When we created TOLKNING, we got help from skilled artisans who know the strengths and weaknesses of the material,” says Simi. “Without them, we wouldn’t be able to offer these products to our customers.”

Simi says that working with natural fibres can be challenging, but that is also a part of the charm. “The TOLKNING series reflects a heritage that is worth preserving – man and nature together and skills passed on from generation to generation. I think that’s one of the reasons why these kinds of products are so loved.
