Seems flimsy and hard to assembleAnonymous reviewerOne of the assembly steps is to hammer metal sleeves into the wood. The holes are really small, so you are effectvely asked to hammer steel through wood. I had to hit it really hard, and ended up splitering the frame and ended up having to discard the metal sleeve. I hope this is sufficent. For a double bed, to take weight of 2 people in what is essentlally 2 screws into wood, seems really flimsy. Also the nature of the steel bar that runs down the middle of the bed, means the mattress is bent at the middle. So feels like you're rolling away from the centre when you lie on it. I wouldn't recommend this product.1
Very low Anonymous reviewerMy daughter put the bed together, it's a typical ikea bed so if you can do flat packs ,she said it was straight forward to make up,the bed itself is low to the ground (something i should have picked up on so my own fault)and very light,I have laminate floors,if you bumped the bed it was of across the floor,I did buy pads to stick to the feet so they wouldn't keep moving,no squeaks or wobbles -could be down to the expert who built it so no problem there, the only other thing is the head board lats-again I never thought about it while purchasing it,is I find the pillows end up trying to escape through the lats,I bought a standard mattress and the bed and mattress have done good 👍 so far 😀 3
2 beds - one worked, one didn’t Anonymous reviewerI have assembled two of these beds, the first went together easily, and we were very pleased with it. The second was almost impossible. Putting the bed together was fine but I couldn’t get the metal sleeves into the holes provided in the two legs at the foot of the bed. The holes seemed too small. I had to hit it so hard with a hammer that I distorted the metal sleeves. This seems to be a significant design error. I see some people in the reviews have had the same problem, but not others - I wonder if it could be a manufacturing inconsistency. 1
bed delivered to my local IKEA shop, surprisingly compact and fitted very easily in my car.Anonymous reviewercompetent instructions and easy to build, very sturdy and most importantly no squeaks.5
Easy to assembleAnonymous reviewerComfortable bed for the money and very sturdy5
Easy to put together, package will fit in most cars Anonymous reviewerReally pleased with this bed, simple to build and is packed in a long thin box so very easy to transport. Even the king size. We bought it for our daughter’s new flat, she loves it 5
Excellent and SturdyAnonymous reviewerI just wanted a basic bed nothing fancy but one that didn’t wobble- this great does the job. I’d rather spend my budget on the mattress.5
Lovely simple bedAnonymous reviewerI bought this bed as I like a slated base. The value for money is excellent and I'm pleased with how sturdy it is. I have waxed it to keep it looking natural and I love it's uncluttered look. I had it assembled for me, so I can't comment on how easy that was. It was certainly beyond me! I would certainly recommend it.5
Excellent bed frame 👍🏻Anonymous reviewerGood quality of pine wood, nice looking and reasonable px5
Great bed frameAnonymous reviewerAbsolutely love this bed frame. It looks beautiful in the room. Really pleased with the quality of the materials.5
Tarva bed frameAnonymous reviewerI am very pleased with this. It went together fairly well. You do have to be very careful when assembling it not to put the little plugs in the wrong holes, but all was good, and we are very pleased with it.5
TarvaAnonymous reviewerHave the same type of bed for over 8 years now.5
Tarva bedAnonymous reviewerI bought this for a spare bedroom and I’m really happy with it. Guests have said it’s very comfortable. I assembled it by myself but it was tricky - you do need two people really.5
Bit difficult to assemble butAnonymous reviewerBit difficult to assemble but not impossible. Great value for money. Comfortable bed5
Great bedframe, some assembly nigglesAnonymous reviewerI love this bed frame, it's attractive, sturdy and good value. I have a few comments on assembly though. The headboard was very fiddly to assemble, maybe it would have been simpler to align everything if I hadn't pushed the dowels in all the way, but as it was, getting so many dowels aligned at once was very tricky. More seriously, at stage 8 and 12 the hollow metal dowels were a terribly tight fit in the holes. At stage 8 you bang them in with a hammer, which was just about doable but not nice, but at stage 12, I had no chance of being able to push them manually into the holes in the wood except by using a drill and countersink to slope the mouths of the holes. It really was impossible to assemble without doing this, and not everyone would work out what was needed, or have suitable tools. I think the holes in the wood should be a little larger diameter so they are not so exceedingly tight, and should be already countersunk, to aid alignment at stage 12. Also at stage 12, a warning to make sure that the row of holes is at the bottom of the wooden side rail would have been useful, as I got this wrong on one side and had to dismantle and re-do. The diagram does show the holes at the bottom edge, but they are quite hard to see, and it is perfectly possible to put the side rail on upside down! Anyway, apart from these suggested improvements, this is a fantastic bed and I'm very pleased with it - an excellent product for the price, in keeping with IKEA traditions.5
Perfect awesome bedAnonymous reviewerOk. So after I ordered online this bed I remembered to read the reviews and I was a bit scared reading the bad ones, I even wanted to cancell but I didn't. So my bed arrived, I put it together with my husband, it wasn't very hard, at the end I was so pleased with how it looked, so fresh and simple, exactly what I was hoping for. Very cheap and good. You expect something cheap to be bad but not this one, has great price and its a great product. We really love that its not high at all, its very low and perfect if you have a 1 year old baby who loves to get in bed and out of it every 5 minutes. I am very pleased with it.5
metal cross bars need improvementAnonymous reviewerThe stabilizing metal cross bars cannot be screwed in manually. Anyone who tells you they can do this without a power screwdriver is lying. Also, once you've gone back to Ikea and had the screws put into the bars, then they refuse to stay on when you assemble them. There needs to be a better solution for this.2
Excellent value for moneyAnonymous reviewerI wasn't really expecting much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised by the solid construction and sturdiness of this bed. It should last many years. The finish is natural and untreated, as if it's been boxed at the point of cutting/drilling, and is therefore quite dusty out of the box. It does mean you're free to paint, varnish or treat it as necessary. I just took a damp cloth over it once assembled, to get rid of the dust. The metal beams and braces are a great touch too. No chance of the slats slipping or dropping through the frame! All in all, very please with this bed. Highly recommended.5
UncomfortableAnonymous reviewerThe bed frame has an okay rustic look but the wood is too “bendy”. Basically, the bed slates fall through in the middle of the night if you shift too much. A very unpleasant experience. If you want a good night’s rest then go for a more expensive bed. I think this is good for children, but not grown adults. A bit too much weight and you’re spending and hour with duct tape that won’t solve the problem.2
really good cheap bedAnonymous reviewerThis bed looks lovely and does the job well. the metal slat supports don't work at all but i left mine off and the beds fine without them.5
