RubbishAnonymous reviewerImpossible to assemble without tearing the paper shade. A disappointing product.1
I cry tears of joy when I see thisAnonymous reviewerWhat more can I say, I love this lamp so much that I bleed tears of joy from my face by the pure adamant admiration when I see this lamp, I praise this lamp like the lamb of a shepherd after his herd has been feasted upon by wolves.5
Gaslit by a lampAnonymous reviewerEverything went together with relatively little injury but after 30 minutes of straining and googling, the hoop on the bottom tore through the paper and destroyed the whole shade. Cheap is cheap but that design is fully bananas.1
Looks great but the lousy designAnonymous reviewerIt looked great in the shop, well, if you ignored the ripped paper at the bottom, but that would be some wayward kid checking out it's strength. Sadly the "clicks" mentioned in the instructions largely didn't happen & the bottom of the shade won't attach. Having three hands might help here, as once two are connected and held in place you really need that third hand for the last one. You then realise your fingers are about to create a hole in the same place as the one in the shop. 90 mins wasted on a poorly constructed and impossible 3d puzzle.1
Great Lamp, Great Value - Just pay attention when buildingAnonymous reviewerThese are a great little lamp and give more of an uplighting effect than I was expecting, particularly teamed with 305.504.92. The failures other reviewers experienced are because they were not considered in their assembly and rushed it. Every piece fits with a firm click and stays snugly in place; if it doesn't then push more firmly, because if it isn't fully engaged your shade will tear if you force it while fitting it. When everything is snugged down as it appears in the instructions you will have no issues. You may want some pliers to squeeze down the white wire shade support into the black plastic base. If it sits proud the shade won't fit. I have built three with no issues. This is a great piece of design that doesn't deserve a poor rating just because some reviewers are impatient...5
Poor quality Anonymous reviewerRather badly designed. There is no give in it to allow the shade to be fitted without damaging it. Hence a torn paper shade. Too cheap to bother returning it. Very unlike Ikea to sell something of such poor quality. Disappointed.1
Tricky to assemble without damageAnonymous reviewerThe frame needs some force to get it to click together. Without this the paper lampshade won’t fit and I ripped the first one I assembled. I drafted in help for the second, three hands were needed! If you can assemble them without tearing the lampshade they look good.2
good clean lampAnonymous reviewereasy to assemble, and nicely clear and strong5
Great valueAnonymous reviewerIt took a little bit of an effort and care to assemble the shade, but nowhere near what you would expect from the other reviews.5
Impossible Anonymous reviewerThe lamp is almost impossible to assemble. There is absolutely no give in the legs you're supposed to pull the shade over. I gave up in the end.2
So pretty but far too weakAnonymous reviewerNear impossible to get the shade on, both of them ripped. There is no give in the frame so you can't get it on without the pressure from your fingers tearing the paper. The legs also kept popping out and one of the clips holding the legs in place snapped. Really sad as they look beautiful and now I understand why they are so cheap. Not worth returning either as it will cost more to travel all the way back to Ikea1
