Reviews

Very good 100% wool. Dont compare with other cheap materials Anonymous reviewerI am confused with some reviews says "Cheap looking and thin". But at last I bought one. Yes it is not for every one. This is apremium item. It's User surface is 100% wool and Warp is 100% cotton. It clearly says in description. If you know about wool and its production cost and because of its huge size i feel this is a big bargain. I used this in my 2nd living room. But if you go for polyester carpet it looks good because of colour and appearance but this is "wool". This carpet is good for my rustic finished living room.5
Fantastic item Anonymous reviewerLooks fabulous and high class 5
ShoddyAnonymous reviewer We had this in green for ten years, it was heavier, thicker and quite a statement rug. Thought this would be the same, it’s not. Cheap looking and thin, can’t get the lines straight. We needn’t have worried about getting it home as it was handed to us folded in a small square! Waste of money.1
Dreadful Rug!!!! What a Waste of Money!!Anonymous reviewerSpent close to £400 for this new Stockholm rug as a treat to myself for Xmas. It arrived folded up so small! Rolled it out and it was far too think! Not at all close to the same thickness of my last striped stockholms. It collects so much and it’s a serious disappointment. So thin and cheap looking when it’s so expensive and meant to be an investment. Avoid!!!1
Great in my sweat lodgeAnonymous reviewerThis is brilliant. I have a NA sweat lodge. Have this on the floor and is perfect due to the natural fibers.4

Material

What is wool?

Wool is a practical natural material that usually comes from sheep. The raw wool is washed and then spun into yarn. Wool rugs have many advantages. They're soft, warm and comfortable to walk on, and they're also very hardwearing. They're stain-resistant too, because wool has it own natural oil. This means that dirt stays on the surface and doesn't penetrate into the rug. All wool rugs shed - some more, some less - vacuum them regularly to prevent the loose fibres from scattering.

Function solution

Wave farewell to flying carpets

STOPP and STOPP FILT anti-slip rug underlays keep your rugs firmly in place, so no one slips on them. Cut the underlays to any size you need. STOPP FILT, which is 4 mm thick, also helps preserve hand-knotted rugs and makes all your rugs feel thicker and softer.

Form design process

Made using the hand loom weaving technique

In a hand loom, horizontal strands (the weft), are woven over and under vertical strands (the warp), repeatedly until the rug is complete. Depending on the complexity of the design, producing a rug with this technique can take from a few days up to several weeks. Unlike other techniques, such as hand-tufting, a hand loom does not produce a pile, rather it creates an even and flat surface. This technique allows for intricate designs and patterns and the rugs tend to be lightweight yet durable. They are also reversible and easy to clean, making them a practical and popular choice.
