This classic bed frame will look great with your choice of textiles and bedroom furniture. You can even complete the look with other products from the SONGESAND series.
Ample storage space is hidden neatly under the bed in 2 large drawers. Perfect for storing duvets, pillows and bed linen.
SONGESAND bed storage boxes work perfectly with SONGESAND bed frame. They fit neatly into the space under the bed and will be flush against sides.
The storage boxes are easy to roll out and in thanks to the castors on the base.
You can separate your linens and duvets since the combination includes one narrow and one wide storage box.
Adjustable bed sides allow you to use mattresses of different thicknesses.
LÖNSET slatted bed base with curved slats and comfort zones helps keep your spine aligned, while the open construction allows air to circulate and keeps the mattress fresh.

Good looking bed lots of storageAnonymous reviewerThis is a lovely bed with the bonus of two large storage drawers which hold a lot of bedding and can be wheeled out.
Putting bed together was fairly straightforward, had a problem with metal fixings as had not read the instructions properly but found a YouTube video easily and soon resolved.
As with all IKEA furniture very sturdy and solid. Good value for money.

The worst bed frame everAnonymous reviewerThe screws are getting loose and metal part of this frame making so much noice when you turning around on the bed that is ridiculous. Never have this kind of bed before, if you hoping for a nice sleep just get something better then this otherwise you will be just annoyed every singel evening when you going to sleep.

Nicely built and sturdyAnonymous reviewerBought this bed for my sons bedroom upgrade and have to say how lovely it looks. Built well (ill take the credit for that) and solid. The underbed storage boxes are reinforced underneath and hold heaps of stuff, they also complete the look of the bed too. I opted for the basic base (Luroy) with the Hovag mattress in med/firm and have to say, it's so very comfortable. On my own Hemnes bed, I went for the premium base with Hyllestad which isn't quite as comfortable. 5 stars. Easy and quick to put together on my own and the base went in easily.

Along with another review, I agree that the edges are extremely sharp and horrible to stub your toe or catch your shin! I have built a lot of IKEA furniture in my time and this took ages to assemble and wasn't a perfect finish either. Overall I wouldn't recommend.

I read all the reviews which were mainly good, one gentleman complained only of knocking his shins on the corners, and I admit I have done this a couple of times, but I love the fact that there are no corner posts or foot rails and I can sit on the bottom of my bed. This makes my bedroom feel more spacious. The bed has various height settings for ease of getting in/out of bed. I shopped around and found this bed better value for money. I was a first time buyer at IKEA and was a little unsure of which individual bits to buy, ie. choice of slats, but I asked an assistant you was really helpful and made the experience so easy. I took the standard slats which are absolutely fine, no need to spend more and she explained all the mattress options so I had an informed choice. My 17 year old son put the bed together for me, he said it was tricky and took a couple of hours, but did it completely on his own. I would definitely recommend this product and the IKEA experience

It's an OK bed, but...........Anonymous reviewerSo....we thought we'd have some new bedroom furniture, besides everything else we've bought, we've gone for this SONGESAND in a king. We have had the TYSSEDAL in the past, but fancied a change. Putting together the SONGESAND is as hard or as easy as you make it, just like all flat pack furniture. Had it for 3 days now, seems pretty sturdy, and looks nice. Now's here's my gripe...... I would strongly suggest that you check it out in store on the shop floor. It's not too low of a bed, but.....the foot end has very sharp corners, and believe me, you WILL find out how sharp they are. Whilst walking around the bed, you WILL catch your shins on the corners and believe me it hurts. I've caught mine 4 times now, and my partner has also twice, if I could post pics of my shin's I would. So..... when you buy this bed, and have it assembled, and the first time you catch your shin on one of the corner's, after you've finished swearing!!!!!!! you'll remember my review. Good luck.

Material
What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
