So disappointed in this as we really hoped it would last years and be sturdy, as the online description states. I would expect this from a cheap online bed but not ikea. Looks nice at least, would probably be fine for a guest bed that is slept in rarely. 1

It took a while to build as I did it on my own and didn't factor in building the slabs to go under the matress. I would recommend paying the extra £70 for the better slabs over the cheaper £30 ones from the reviews I read before purchasing.5
