Disappointed, not comfortable Anonymous reviewerI bought the sofa about 8 months ago and I loved the design and deep seats . But very quickly discovered that the sofa is extremely uncomfortable. The cushions are very thin, the Velcro does not hold the seat cushions in place and the sofa just end up looking shabby if anyone uses it. After trying to make use of it my daughter and I just rather sit on the floor on our floor cushions then the sofa and it is now a purely decorative item. A very large and quite expensive decoration tbh. I do consider returning it as I don’t think we need this questionable ornament in our flat , just the hussle of returning a sofa is stopping me. And I still like to look but oh boy this is one uncomfortable piece of furniture if there ever was .
Looks good but very uncomfortable Anonymous reviewerI fell in love with the look and style of the sofa and when trying out in shop it felt very comfortable. Fast forward 9 months and this is the most expensive decorative piece in my house. No one ever sits on it as it’s so uncomfortable, the seat cushions are extremely thin, the back cushion give no support , impossible for two people to sit in any comfortable position at same time (we have the three seater version ) . The sofa just stands there while we all rather sit on cushions on the floor . And as seat covers are attached with Velcro each time someone tries to use it this needs to be readjusted as otherwise looks very scruffy. My flat is too small to have a questionable art piece of this size and price since considering returning it only hesitant due to logistics of it all. Not loving it anymore that’s for sure .
Not BeigeAnonymous reviewerThe colour is definitely not beige as advertised. The fabric has visible grey and blue streaks running through it, which gives the whole sofa a dirty and worn appearance. Very disappointing and not what I expected.

Great sofaAnonymous reviewerI love this sofa, I've had it a few years now and it's been great. So comfortable as a sofa and is also great for sleeping on if needed as it is flat. I've got the dark grey colour which is very user friendly as it doesn't show up any marks. A great sofa and I highly recommend it.
Best sofaAnonymous reviewerHad 3 of the modules for 7 years and another 3 for 3 years and i cannot tell the difference. The design, the ease to get them assembled and move house with, not to mention the fact that covers come off to be cleaned at home - it’s one of the best. I even recommend this to my interior design clients. This is a bargain for the quality and versatility. Sadly people don’t read dimensions so are surprised by the fact that it’s low and very deep. This makes it great to
double up as guest sleeping space too - i cannot fault it. Hope you never discontinue this one! Thanks Ikea!

Poor quality sofaAnonymous reviewerThe sofa looks astonishing and in the initial 6 months, the sofa was comfy. After owning it for 3 years I can say it is not worth the money. After sitting for 20 minutes knees, back and bottoms start to hurt. I will try to modify this sofa to make it more comfortable as I cannot buy a new sofa every 3 years. It also squeaks a bit but it is not annoying. The middle has collapsed and when sitting I get forced to the middle of it, it just lacks the structural support to not be pulled into the middle. I cannot tell if it is the cushions that need to be changed or it is just badly built. We are a couple with no kids. I weight 80kg my wife weights less than me.
Avoid buying at all costs very squeaky Anonymous reviewerAvoid buying this product! I ordered this 2 months ago and is so squeaky and loud when you sit on it! I contacted ikea and the agent completely dismissed what I was saying about it being faulty and seeing other customers having same issue! Tried to charge me another £30 to return it even though I already paid £45 to have it delivered!!! They also blamed me for building it wrong! So I rebuilt it and it made no difference it is still so loud when you sit on it in facts it’s getting worse it’s driving me crazy! Such a poor product for the price!
Wonderful family sofa!Anonymous reviewerWe love this sofa. We put it together really quickly as it was so easy. The covers were a bit of a tight fit but once they are on it looks great. We are a family of four plus a dog who is allowed on the sofa! We have the three seater plus the chaise longue and it's perfect for us. My parents find it a tad low, but we love how comfy it is and also how deep the seats are. It seems very durable to me, especially with washable covers!

DisappointedAnonymous reviewerI absolutely love the look of the soderhamn sofa and it’s the perfect size for our family, but unfortunately I couldn’t recommend it. About a week after assembly and normal use the 3 seater section of the sofa started to squeak, we assumed this was normal breaking in creaking but it’s become worse over the 11 months we’ve owned the sofa . We’ve tried tightening all screws a number of times but no improvement. The sofa was a big investment for us and we had to save up for some time, needless to say we are very disappointed and wish we’d bought a sofa elsewhere.
Good quality but assembly designAnonymous reviewerI bought the 3 seater configuration as you see it in the photo. I had this sofa before and knew it is sturdy (even with long legs) and good quality. However to assemble this, one must poke a hole in the fabric of the base (which is fine but very hard to do because of said good quality) but IKEA doesn’t supply a tool to do this. I fashioned my own implement and ended up with a small very minor cut on the finger (which is not a problem) the issue is that I was bleeding on the fabric of the new sofa! Had to wait a few minutes for the cut to clot.

I bought the corner seater and will be returning one of the modules I haven’t unpacked, but will have to put up with the rest of it until I can afford to change it.
