The fixed cover is made from Vissle fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material with a smooth weave and a nice two-tone effect.

Good Sturdy BedAnonymous reviewerI was actually scared after reading all the reviews here. People said it is hard to assemble and not that sturdy. But this was the cheapest option and I ordered it.
It was easy to assemble honestly. I did it all by myself. Although it took me 2-3 hours. But it came together nicely. And super sturdy bed. Really pleased.
The only thing is that the fabric seems to rip from the screws on the side. If I disassemble and assemble again, it would rip further. But good buy.
cheap and nasty bolts will failAnonymous reviewerI've put dozens of beds together over the years, and one thing is for sure - the key bolts in the frame will loosen and need tightening over time.
However - IKEA on this occasion decided to save a few pennies and make the most important load bearing bolts out of aluminium instead of steel. This has two main issues -
1) you cannot fully tighten without rounding off the hex heads
2) This also means future re-tightening is impossible.
I would have given zero stars, but the rest of the bed is good. Its just a shame the frame will likely fall apart in 2 years.
All for the penny pinching of half a dozen steel bolts. Shame on you Ikea.

Very difficult assemblyAnonymous reviewer4 hours later, aching hands, sore knees - possible the worse flat pack of my life! Firstly it arrives in a HUGE very heavy box, no warning re. this, no help from IKEA Edinburgh to get it to car. Had to open it in car park and remove bit by bit, as I couldn't lift it into car.
Once home, it was a 25-stage project, with crappy tools, ill-fitting plastic parts. Lots and lots of screws to fit by hand, absolute nightmare. I wanted to return it in principle as it was so traumatic to assemble, but got to the end and had to move on with life :-/. Don't even care how good or bad it is, I am just relieved that it's over.
Bolts do not fitAnonymous reviewerStill trying to put this together. The first and second step involve bolting legs to head and foot boards. The bolts do not screw into the boards. This is taking ages, I'm incredibly irritated - I normally enjoy putting Ikea furniture together but this is a complete waste of time.

Bargain bedAnonymous reviewerIncredible for the money. This is for the spare bedroom. Got it from the local store, loaded up in a fiesta, got it back and built in one evening on my own. Yes, it's in many parts, but just take your time, make sure everything is tightened when building and it will be fine. Everything for me fitted perfectly. Been used almost everyday for 6 weeks now and it is rock solid. Can't complain at all for the price when purchased beginning of September 2025.

After a few months we noticed that the head board is showing stains from where your head touches it through the night. Contacted quality and was brushed off and told that the product reaches standards. There is no way to get a replacement head board so i am now going to have to buy a new bed.
Most comfortable bed EVERAnonymous reviewerI bought this bed and mattress as a cheap option for renting whilst in US!! The most Comfortable bed ever! The mattress is breathable so no more sweaty nights. Supportive no matter which way I decide to lie. Plus the headboard is soft yet sturdy enough to sit up and watch TV or have breakfast.
