Rust and corrodingAnonymous reviewerI purchased 3 of these for my house as I loved the design, however, every one of them has started to rust on the spout. One has even started to corrode and cause additional holes in the spout. If you don’t use it for a day, you get brown sludge coming out of the spout. Unfortunately this product is not functional and would agree with the other reviews.
RustyAnonymous reviewerThese are awful and the smell of rust is disgusting, I had them for about a month then the rust started, I cleaned the rust off but now it’s come to the point where it’s dissolving itself and there is 1 big hole in the spout so getting binned. What a shame as they look so nice and different, it would be interesting to know what the actual metal/material/composition is ?
Looks good but poor functionalityAnonymous reviewerI bought this for my downstairs cloakroom. I put cream coloured soap in it, but if its not been used for a while it turns the soap brownish black like the dispensing nozzle is rusted or corroded inside, its really disappointing going to have to replace it.
Fine if you like your hands to smell like 2p coinsAnonymous reviewerI’ve had soap dispensers from IKEA before and loved them so I was really pleased when I came across this one with its beautiful design! The day after I bought it, I filled it with my usual hand soap - all seemed good and I even had the matching glass in the bathroom, perfect. The next day, I went to wash my hands and was confused by the brown liquid coming out of the spout. My husband then used it and had the same issue. Our hands stank.
Absolute tosh and have put the pump straight into the bin. Fortunately I can use the base! Now to find a new soap dispenser…..
Rust starts building, not recommendedAnonymous reviewerI bought this product in June 2023, and while I didn't mind too much the short dispenser piece, the dispenser head has completely started to rust. By now, when you don't use it in a while your soap comes out brownish with a smell. Finally threw the head out today, can still use the base as a holder of some sort
Really tasteful design, let down by scratchingAnonymous reviewerI love the design of this but sadly, when pressing, if you don't press centrally, the pump leans which causes it to scrape as you push down which then means the lovely golden finish becomes scratched. As a result, I returned mine as you can't always remember to press down centrally when washing your hands! Such a shame as it looks lovely and the glass portion is really chunky.

Looks good but spout too shortAnonymous reviewerLike other reviewers I think the design of this is dreadful. The spout is so short you can't get your hand under it so you either misjudge the exit point and splash the soap down the front of it or move too far forward and leave it on the countertop. The outlet is less than 1cm from the body so even a finger is optimistic... Visually looks great but the functional side of the design team must have been having a bad day, which is pretty rare for IKEA.

DisappointedAnonymous reviewerThe spout is too short and I can’t get my fingers far enough under it to stop the soap from dripping down the sides. Looks good beside the sink. It’s a shame it’s not fit for what it’s for.
