Reviews

FantasticAnonymous reviewerPurchased for my 1 year old for his birthday. He loves it and plays with it a lot. It's well built and I love how the knobs move and click and the hob doesn't need batteries you can turn the knobs to make it look like it turns on. The only thing I'd say is the hooks for the utensils should be made to stay on the bar as he just yanks them off when he grabs a utensil.5
Perfect play kitchenAnonymous reviewerWe bought this for our granddaughter and it is so well made and perfect for her to play with. She makes a beeline for it every time she visits and loves to make us something to eat!5
Fantastic KitchenAnonymous reviewerWe bought this kitchen for our son’s 2nd birthday and it is sturdy and really well made. It’s great quality and was good value. The only criticism is that it did take longer to assemble than anticipated and the instructions could have been clearer, but our son loves it and overall we are very pleased! 5
Great KitchenAnonymous reviewerBought this for our 2 year old granddaughter and she loves it. A very sturdy unit and very good quality. The instructions could be better but after a few minutes scratching our heads and a few screws in wrong places my husband and I worked it out. Took about an hour and a half to complete but we aren’t youngsters! Great product which will last and grow with her as has the three height settings. 5
Bad instructions but overall such a good sturdy kitchen :)Anonymous reviewerSome of the bits in the instructions were wrong so ikea has made mistakes on the instructions. But overall its such a good sturdy kitchen and my son loves it :) he has lots of fun with it 5
Great Kitchen Anonymous reviewerGreat kitchen for my 3 year old. Absolutely loves it. Nice grey colour. Nice touches for the hobs and black sink. Definitely recommend. Took little while to assemble by myself but love it.5
Brilliant! Anonymous reviewerAbsolutely love this play kitchen. It has lots of fun additions like knobs that twist and make noise, wooden handles, adjustable height, hob rings that open and close. Plus it looks nice! My little girl loves it5
Hours of funAnonymous reviewerGrand daughter loves “making” meals and then tidying up5
Very popular Christmas presentAnonymous reviewerBought this for my 2 year old grandson who absolutely loves it, and spends ages cooking us dinner!5
Really good quality, will last through childhood. Anonymous reviewerI bought this due to the height, and the fact you can adjust the height as they grow. Really nice quality, and sturdy once built. It should hopefully last until outgrown in age. As with ikea, the instructions aren't always the easiest, and it would massively help if things came labelled, but it's manageable. Built by myself in about 1.5/2hours (with mistakes). This is for Christmas so I wanted to build before hand as we have the space to hide it. I'd say it is lighter grey than the image. Really impressed. Well packaged item but the delivery box was ruined by the time it got here. 5

Function solution

Role playing – a playful way to develop

Mimicking parents and other adults through role playing is a way for the child to process impressions and understand their surroundings. Putting a soft toy to bed, building a road, cooking in the toy kitchen and serving dinner is so much more than fun play. It also helps the child develop their social, cognitive and motor skills. There’s so much to learn!

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
