Yes it can feel a bit hard at first, but once used to it. The pillow does it's job. I suffer from arthritis and Fibromyalgia and used to have a lot of aches and pain in my neck, shoulders & back. Now I have a lot less. This has helped a lot with my sleeping at night. The blue cooling layer has helped to cool me down and my head doesn't feel anywhere near as hot or sweaty. It's very comfortable and worth every penny. The removable cover is brilliant.5

Having used it for a couple of weeks, it’s has not lost its shape, hasn’t flattened and provides enough support for side sleeping. Seems to be good value, so far, but it's early days. It is smaller than a standard pillow, so you have to reckon with this. Pricing was weird at the Oxford St. store. Upstairs, it was labelled as £45. Downstairs, £49 (on 15th May 2025). You can guess which of these was charged to me! Drops a point of misadvertising. 3

Good and solidAnonymous reviewerAs a side sleeper with broad shoulders I like a solid pillow & usually use a pillow with springs in but thought I'd give this a try. So far it has been great! My head is supported & doesn't sink into the pillow too much. Only negatives are that 1 it isn't standard size so my pillow cases are too big 2 the zip for the cover is on a long side & I like to turn my pillow in the night which means sometimes it's against my shoulder4

We all have our favourite sleep positions and comfort needs. RAMSLÖKSMÅL ergonomic pillow has an adaptable 3-layer memory foam structure, suitable for all sleeping preferences. With all 3 memory foam layers, you get a high pillow that is ideal for side and back sleepers. If you are a stomach sleeper, remove the mid-layer to make the pillow lower and comfier. Feeling too warm? Try the side of the pillow with cooling gel layer and fabric for soothing relief, otherwise rest your head on the cosy non-cooling side with check-pattern fabric.

Material

How to care for your ergonomic pillow

With a little care, you can prolong the life of your ergonomic pillow and keep it fresh. It is important that you do not wash the foam, as this will affect the pillow's quality and function. However, you can always wash the outer pillow cover. Remove the cover from the foam and machine wash at max. 40°C, regular cycle. Tumble dry on low heat, max. 60°C.
