Easy to cut to fit different sizes of windows or to add a decorative touch to mirrors or glass doors in bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms.
Use the included sticker to remove the transparent layer that protects the adhesive on the back of the window film.
With the included scraper, you can easily remove bubbles between the window film and the glass to get a smooth surface.
Easy to fix to the window with soapy water and a scraper – and just as easy to remove without leaving any adhesive residue.

Great stuffAnonymous reviewerThis works - provides privacy and is easy to apply if you follow the instructions and use lots and lots of water. All of my windows have this on them now as I'm in a ground floor flat. Lets in all the light and I can still see trees and grass. Very happy.

Spot on!Anonymous reviewerI was dubious having read the reviews, and people having issues. But having just had new windows installed I used this on two small kitchen windows rather than install blinds.
Is it a bit fiddly - yes. Do you need to read the instructions carefully - YES!
But if you are careful, and follow the instructions then you should have good results. I mean for a fiver I'm totally thrilled with the result. It's not totally perfect, but that's only cause I know, I dount anyone looking at the windows will notice.
I wouldn't hesistate in reccomending this, just measure carefully, read the instructions and have some patience getting the backing off which isn't the easiest thing in the world, but (excuse the pun) stick with it!
Awful Stuff, nightmare to use and a complete waste of moneyAnonymous reviewerI have used a window film before and it is tricky stuff and takes a bit of patience, but this one from Ikea is dreadful. I had the plain frosted version - its a nightmare to remove from the backing, i had to search the internet for tips and then when you do eventually release it, it sticks back on itself and creases. A complete waste of money and a wasted few hours trying to sort it out, i had to throw it away in the end. Will be buying the window vinyl i used previously from a diy store instead.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have much luck — the corners look uneven, and new bubbles appeared even a few days after application. I like the product, but I’m not skilled enough to apply it properly myself.

Not clearAnonymous reviewerYou can buy patterned or transparent. I thought transparent meant you ended up with a mirror type effect but it is really translucent. The clear film is actually the backing which is discarded. The instructions are therefore confusing because it looks like you end up with a window you can’t see through, but that seems to be how it is supposed to be? Is this an English translation problem?
It doesn't Stick to the window Anonymous reviewerI bought 4 pieces and followed all instructions, but after one day, they started falling apart. The sticker doesn't hold. I tried again and agin to re-stick them, didn't work. m really disappointed that in the third day I had to throw them away.
Easy installationAnonymous reviewerThis was a very cheap and easy way to add privacy to our dining area. I was worried about installing it but I needn’t have worried, it was easy and the tool included makes it easy to get air bubbles out. Would recommend to anyone. The pattern also means you can still see out a little bit but no one can see in. Perfect!

Can see some people advising of film falling off the next day - presumably because they never figured out the needed clear film removal (inner side e.g., window side).

Junk – better to buy real window film from a specialist supplier.Anonymous reviewerI was really disappointed with this IKEA window film. It’s static only with no glue, which meant it just wouldn’t stay on properly. On top of that, it’s only available in a tiny 50cm width – far too narrow for most windows. After struggling with it, I ended up throwing it away and buying from Active Window Films instead, which was a far better product in every way.
Difficult to apply wellAnonymous reviewerReally difficult to successfully apply well. End up with bubbles and creases, tried multiple times. Parts of it look good when they’re stuck properly but compared to other options from elsewhere it’s not with the effort to apply as others are so much easier to apply.
Warning migraineurs: Stinks of toxic chemicals! Anonymous reviewerThis is nothing like the window films I’ve used before, it’s thinner, the back is covered in glue and whatever glue it is, I suspect that’s what stinks & made me ill. I had to remove it after 26 hours as I needed a bath. Refunded.

When applying, take your time, measure twice, clean your window more than once and use far more water spray than you think you will need.

Does the job Anonymous reviewerOnly four stars because of the instructions. It wasn't clear there was backing paper that needs to be peeled off so that's the only reason. Other than that it's quite a decent amount of privacy film you get for the price. Very good for privacy ( I used it on my living room window which passers by kept looking into), will have to pop any air bubbles with a small pin. Would buy again.
