Difficult to apply wellAnonymous reviewerReally difficult to successfully apply well. End up with bubbles and creases, tried multiple times. Parts of it look good when they’re stuck properly but compared to other options from elsewhere it’s not with the effort to apply as others are so much easier to apply.
Warning migraineurs: Stinks of toxic chemicals! Anonymous reviewerThis is nothing like the window films I’ve used before, it’s thinner, the back is covered in glue and whatever glue it is, I suspect that’s what stinks & made me ill. I had to remove it after 26 hours as I needed a bath. Refunded.
Great results, great value. Anonymous reviewerI bought this to diffuse the light coming into my office and help stop plants on the window ledge from scorching.
When applying, take your time, measure twice, clean your window more than once and use far more water spray than you think you will need.
Not greatAnonymous reviewerDoes not stick to the window well even when following the instructions to a T.
Does the job Anonymous reviewerOnly four stars because of the instructions. It wasn't clear there was backing paper that needs to be peeled off so that's the only reason. Other than that it's quite a decent amount of privacy film you get for the price. Very good for privacy ( I used it on my living room window which passers by kept looking into), will have to pop any air bubbles with a small pin. Would buy again.
Really good value for moneyAnonymous reviewerGood product and such good value for money compared to competitors. Good quality and worth it. Easy to apply (make sure you clean window thoroughly)
No peeking Anonymous reviewerDoes exactly what it's supposed to. Easy to cut to size and apply and allows enough light to come through whilst giving me the privacy I require
Arrived creasedAnonymous reviewerThe roll arrived creased so the film has a few lines down it that won’t come out. This was throughout the entire roll. Ruins the look of it. Really disappointing.
Not good as a privacy screenAnonymous reviewerI've installed and used privacy film bought from a major online retailer multiple times before, so I had no reason to believe this film would be any different. Well it is. It's much thinner than the ones I've used before, and yet stiffer/less pliable. Initially it applied well, air bubbles easily squeegeed out. But I found it hanging off the window the next day. I also found that when running a cloth over after to mop up the soapy water squeegeed out that the textured surface grabbed all the fluff of the cloth and was really difficult to remove.
Really didn't live up to expectation sadly.
I plan to use the film on my Cricut machine and cut out smaller shapes, perhaps they will adhere better than one larger piece.
Looks effective, just doesn't stay put Anonymous reviewerFollowed instructions just unfortunately doesn't hold as hoped.
Brilliant Anonymous reviewerFirst time using this and it worked.
Fiddly but eventually it works. Anonymous reviewerIt's a deceptively small roll, I should have paid more attention in store so be warned. When I destroyed my first attempt I then noticed that I had spent exactly half of the roll on a tiny bathroom window. Still, can't beat the value for money. Ikea will Ikea
Here's how I managed to get it without cracking or sticking to itself on my second try. Use the white tabs provided in the centre of the edge of the paper, one on each side to help peal a smidge of the protective film. Once you have a little bit of the discardable transparent side, bite into it with your front teeth to hold it in place while you use both hands to then unroll the rest evenly, alternating between unrolling and spraying with water abundantly.
I think the abundantly part is not clear from the instructions. Feel free to leave the thing dripping, it will continue to stick. The rest is easy, just slap it on the window and use the plastic tab to push water out and remove bubbles.
Worked perfectly Anonymous reviewerWe applied this to the lower panes of our sash windows at the front of the house. The pattern is lovely, and the film applied in the same way as any other (and more expensive) versions do. It is a bit fiddly and probably better to use a loyalty card than the scraper provided but it is a great solution for the cost.
Picked window filmAnonymous reviewerStrong and good quality but I was not happy with the end result as the spatular is too hard and makes marks on the window film and eventually used a glass rubber squeezy .very hard to get the film separated from the backing paper
It worked... But very fiddlyAnonymous reviewerFirstly make sure you prepare yourself and watch some YouTube videos on how to install window film. Picture 5 is to use the stickers provided to help peel the backing film away from the privacy film (best way is to apply on opposite sides of the sheet in one corner and pull apart), spraying window cleaner in between these once peeled helps alot. If you are applying to a big area then makes sure you get a 2nd person to help as it will stick to itself. It has been on 8 hours so far and I'm confident it will stay on until I physically peel it away.
Came off in 24 hoursAnonymous reviewerHave I missed a step? Used the soapy water and scraper. Couldn’t quite understand picture 5 in the instructions?? Within 24 hours it had fallen off of the window
Not working Anonymous reviewerI had to tape it, it is useless, waste of money
