Lovely and comfyAnonymous reviewerI bought this for my son, he’s a SEN child and he uses something similar at school. It was easy to put together, took me like 20 mins, by myself. This chair is amazing, my son loves it, he uses the rocking motion to regulate when he’s in crisis and it’s light weight enough for him to move it around the room so he can sit wherever he wants.
Poorly finished...Anonymous reviewerHad the Poäng's predecessor, Poem, back in the late '80s, so expected a chair with at least as good a level of finish, but this doesn't come close, with sharp edges and rough surfaces everywhere - it actually feels altogether unfinished as if it's never been sanded or sealed.
I'll set to and fine sand it tomorrow, then wax it, but it really is probably the worst finished item we've ever had from IKEA since we equipped my wife's flat from the Warrington IKEA in '88/9.
This poor quality also appeared to be reflected in the machining - the holes for the fixings matched poorly and required some force to get them to align.
It'll been fine once I've attended to it, but I shouldn't have to.
