The handles were not great but as there were no pre-drilled holes for them I bought some better ones
Different finish to previous doorsAnonymous reviewerWe were disappointed to open the box and find that the finish and colour is completely different to the doors we bought in 2021ish for our other bookcase! They now have a plastic finish rather than being oak veneer (easier to clean ;) but doesn't match existing furniture and not as good quality). The photos on the website don't seem to have been updated as you can see the texture of the veneer. Also, the website mentions the doors won't fit bookcases bought before 2014, it would be good to also mention they don't match bookcases bought before a certain time too!

The current products aren’t wood veneer, they’re a foil finish. Also if your bookcases are older than 2014 you'll have to drill new holes to fit the doors.
Our bookcases are probably 20 years old so are now a bit darker than they were originally but the new doors I ordered are a completely different colour. Several shades lighter & look like fake wood :(
I think it’s a shame that IKEA have presumably swapped to a foil finish to keep cost down as it’s just not the same. Anyone with several existing units like us now have no option to change the look or layout.
I’m returning the 'oak' doors I ordered & going to try black. Not really what I wanted though.
Finish doesn't match bookcaseAnonymous reviewerPurchased these today, the bookcase was purchased around 2022. They have changed the finish from a natural oak to a printed flat plastic laminate. The finish does not match the bookcase and you cannot buy the older style. The colour is completely different.
I'm pretty mad about it. From using lots of natural materials responsibly, the have gone to using plastic. There is no texture at all, just plastic. I'd rather they cost more but maintained the quality and their principles.

Great doors but caution - aren't for full height BillyAnonymous reviewerDoors are great, but beware - they don't fit full height Billy bookshelves.
Also quite expensive for what they are.
We got one of the full height Billy bookshelves and two of these doors (unfixed) second hand, and they didn't fit without me drilling new bracket holes to lower the bottom door 5mm. I assumed I was being silly but having bought a matching set of two of these doors and another full height Billy, directly from IKEA, I find exactly the same problem. It's easily resolvable if you have a drill and an ounce of common sense. Shame whoever designed the doors at IKEA didn't have that common sense. Just 5mm shorter and they would fit perfectly.
