WardrobesAnonymous reviewerExcellent very pleased with purchase 5
Auto lighting doesn't workAnonymous reviewerGood wee light and makes a big difference to the full wardrobe but unfortunately the auto lighting doesn't work. Apparently this is a common issue people have with this product. 2
Lighting Anonymous reviewerVery good5
Love itAnonymous reviewerAbsolutely love it, now I can't even imagine having a wardrobe without lighting5
ExcellentAnonymous reviewerExcellent5
How do you turn them off?!Anonymous reviewerThey're great lights but they stay on all the time. Installed them into a pax with solid doors and the only way to turn them off is at the mains, am I missing something?3
Easy to fit, and does the job it was designed forAnonymous reviewerNothing missing , could not fault.5
Needs updatingAnonymous reviewerWe purchased these lights along with our Pax wardrobes. We realised at the time they required to be plugged into a socket. However, because the wardrobes are full height this involves drilling through the wardrobes and also drilling through to the loft where we would have had to instal a socket; a lot of work and wires. Meanwhile, we discovered sleek, unobtrusive lights from another source that are magnetically attached to tape on the wardrobe and these are charged through a USB cable. So we opted for these instead.1
Great Anonymous reviewerNice light 5
Lighting stripsAnonymous reviewerEasy to fit, good fitting options, sturdy, provide a good light 5
Simple and effective .Anonymous reviewerMakes a big difference to the look of my wardrobe works every time I slide the door open
I would of liked the led to be a bit longer. 4
Light sensor onlyAnonymous reviewerI thought it was a motion sensor but instead it is a light sensor only, which doesnt work with wardrobes with no doors. Is there a hack to make them work as motion sensor?1
Different Colour depending on sizeAnonymous reviewerRecently bought these lights for our Pax wardrobe. We have the longer model 96cm and the shorter model in two separate sections of the wardrobe. There is a clear difference in colour between the two. The shorter model is quite clearly a more yellow tone. IKEA did replace the this item, but the replacement is exactly the same. Disappointing, it’s clearly a design issue.3
Fab, but be careful if you have an older Pax system!Anonymous reviewerSo these lights are great when used under shelves. But if like us you have an old tall Pax system where the door hinges sit right at the top of the doors, and in one unit you have long coats and dresses hanging up high with no shelf above, you can’t fit a light at the top as the hinges sit where the light fittings need to! So just be aware! A little sad about this as we wanted lights in all units, but it is what it is!4
Impressed but not good with glass doorsAnonymous reviewerI was impressed with this lighting. Easy to fit, discrete and stylish.
One word of caution... unless you are fitting to the inner top edge of the Pax wardrobe, this won't turn off if you go for the glass door option.
I incorrectly assumed it was a motion senor that triggered the light to come on..... it's not, its a light sensor.
The frame of the glass door will block out abient light, but only if the lights is fitted to the top panel of the carcase.
We wanted the light below one of the shelves, the light through the glass means the light stays on all the time.
Trying to find a workaround.5
Lovely birthday surpriseAnonymous reviewerAutomatic lighting sensor works well with glossy painted MDF built in wardrobe (not Ikea, built by builders).
It is very tough to change the ON to AUTO toggle switch once installed, so I had to pull off the adhesive I used, as I had accidentally left one of the light's switches in the wrong position.
I used 3M foam double sided tape to attach this to the wardrobe, as the lights are very light, and it has stuck very well.
The lights have a metal shell.
I wired the power cord (sold separately as it is a standard IEC C7 2 prong figure of 8 kettle lead)for the driver (also sold separately), by cutting off the plug and stripping the wires into a conveniently placed light switch nearby, which had a permanent live and neutral, as it was installed in the side of the wardrobe. HAVING TURNED OFF THE BREAKER AND PROVED FOR DEAD with a multimetre, the Tradfri Driver now has a permanent power supply.
The driver paired easily with the Dirigera hub / gateway.
