Lovely lights, but despite comments saying they are dimmable, these are not dimming without a lot of unpleasant flickering. Don't buy if you want to dim them.Anonymous reviewerAs previous reviewers have said, they don't fit into a standard UK lighting circuit, so we followed their advice "The fixture is marketed as Class 2 (ie not needing an earth), and no earth connection is supplied. Nonetheless, the horrid little miniature internal junction box (a ready to throw-away item), even if it were remotely suitable for typical UK loop-in wiring is totally unable to accepting potentially THREE 1.5mm twin-earth cables. Furthermore, any use at all of the supplied single-plastic-wall containment of the junction box immediately renders the light NOT Class 2.. hence the metalwork must be earthed. To supply this lamp in the way is, is inviting DIY connections, and hence not ideal because of compromised safety. - Ask your electrician to add an earth connection (easy for this design), and most of the issues will go away. Your electrician will also then satisfyingly throw away the almost useless internal connection block. "
Solid build, good lighting, but seems unsuited to fit with standard UK household wiring ...Anonymous reviewerThe internal wiring design presumes the wiring installation to have two loose single conductors - live/neutral - which can be threaded through a strain relief of 7mm internal diameter, and 8cm length. Standard UK twin and earth lighting cable, in its standard sleeve, will not fit through this.
A typical UK ceiling rose, for a typical pendant light, has three terminal blocks, allowing connection of up to three cable sets. Connecting this light to an installation with any more than one will require some 'improvisation'.
The unsecured cables within the unit have a springy feel to them, and with connections made, attempts to close the unit up resulted in cables first popping out of one side, then the other, getting sandwiched between unit and ceiling. Perhaps a wiring design rethink for the UK market is required? As pointed out above, the wiring has no earthing provision.
A competent DIY enthusiast, or trained electrician will be able to work around these shortcomings, but ....

Flawed designAnonymous reviewerGreat lamp but as the fitting that needs to be removed when changing a bulb is impossible to refit it fails at the first hurdle. The electrician who fitted it says this is normal for this unit.
Perfect lightAnonymous reviewerI am very happy with this light. I have put it in my new kitchen/dining room on a dimmer switch over the table and it works really well. It gives a good light over the table and to various decorative plates on the wall. Great price too.

Simple and ModernAnonymous reviewerBought this for my kitchen to replace a dated and very grubby fitting. This instantly made the room look tidier. I love that the fitting is flush to the ceiling and the spotlights themselves can be moved to any angle. Replacing the bulb couldn't be easier with the screw-off section on the fitting itself. Feels like a sturdy and well built piece. Five stars for a sleek and easy to fit light.

Only negative is that I wound some GU10 smart bulbs (not IKEA) that were slightly too big to allow the front housing to screw properly into place. Would be better if the black inner rim was soft plastic to give some play.
