A unique designAnonymous reviewerThe birch surround adds a nice subtle contrast point to an otherwise boring white ceiling. The IKEA ceiling hook mounting mechanism is easy to use, but be aware the light fixture might not look flush to the ceiling and may even cause you a headache when needing to replace the bulbs as you need to twist to take off the cover and this can cause the whole unit to rotate.
Some people might not appreciate the light bleed on the ceiling when the light is on and even if the whole unit was flush to the wall I still think you would have this issue.
Easy to change the finishAnonymous reviewerThe birch has a slightly pink shade which didn't look good with the golden tones of oak furniture in my room. But the 3 wooden rings pop off easily if you just push the centre of each plastic fastener out from the inside. That meant I could strip off the finish with white spirit then apply an oak-coloured wax before reassembling. Also easy to connect the electrics - the base has a central hole that fits over a ceiling rose so all I needed to do was disconnect the pendant and then push the wires into the push-in connector.

looks good but not great Anonymous reviewerlooks good, installed relatively easy on 3 screws with wall plugs (in case you don't have the ceiling hook). Wooden parts look great put plastic does look a bit cheap sadly. Overall nice but won't buy it again
Looks greatAnonymous reviewerVery pleased with this beautiful natural but contemporary ceiling light. Two purchased for the hallway and they look great up. The light bulbs recommended by Ikea make it v bright (3 needed) so will replace with lower watt in future.
Thank you very much to customer service who called the Croydon store for someone to physically check stock availability before I set off on a 1.5 hour journey each way as click and collect wasn’t available (I learnt that click and collect isn’t available when stock reduces to a certain level). Very much appreciated. Please open a store on the south coast!
