Super easy to put together and operateAnonymous reviewerNo idea why so many reviewers are whining about this lamp. I'm delighted with it. It took about 2 minutes to assemble (the instructions could not be clearer) and my experience of the Ikea rechargeable batteries in other products is good, so nothing to worry about there. The light it gives off is gorgeous - really warm. Perfect for the dinner table when I'm cooking for friends, or just on somewhere in my living room when I'm chilling. Love how portable it is. 10 out of 10 from me. Great price too!

What I will say is yes, having to use the ikea rechargeables is unfortunate, as they don't last well as others have mentioned (a mood lamp shouldn't give you anxiety!) and more importantly; I've had a stroke and put it together fast and without frustration. I can't believe others weren't as happy putting it together.....!
All in all, still worth it. Just don't bank on it as a main lamp of course. It's a whimsical ikea product!

For those that are having problems with fixing the shade: you must move the golden screws on the sides of the pink shade to adjust it to the desired position. I have used it for long periods and charged already several times. It gives a beautiful warm calming light.
Gorgeous, art deco vibes! Anonymous reviewerI have had to stay in a hotel temporarily, due to mould issues in my home. The lighting in my hotel room is jarring. As a consequence I went on an internet mission to find rechargeable lamps. I found two in Ikea, so reasonably priced that I took my chances, after slightly mixed reviews. I am delighted with my purchases. This is a lovely little lamp, gives off a warm glow or brighter if you move the shade according to need. For the price it looks way more expensive. A few reviews say its shade doesn't sit correctly, I would add, with all Ikea self assembly, read the instructions. The washers for the shade go on both sides to make it stable. Buy the rechargeable batteries with it and use any type C charger wire to charge. I can't wait to take them camping, so chic. Love love love!

Cute but shade is too floppy!Anonymous reviewerLooks nice when i can get the shade balanced like the image, but its so floppy it easily falls back and forth to reveal the bulb which isnt great. No idea how to fix it at a set angle. Charging instructions are unclear. Whats the difference between a pulsating light (charging?) and a flashing one (fault?). Emits a cosy light, just hope its charging ok!
Does not stay onAnonymous reviewerI bought this lamp for a dark hallway ,worked fine on first night ,however will not stay on for more than 5minutes !!.I only bought it on Monday ,and unfortunately threw the box and receipt away .Very disappointed with this product as quite pretty when assembled .Fault with design somewhere .!!

I bought this for my bedside table, primarily to read before going to sleep. For this purpose, I would say the brightness is not sufficient. If there's an overhead light on it adds a nice warm glow to the room, but alone it doesn't give off enough light to read comfortably.

The quality is pretty good, mostly metal, with exclusion of the shade support which has a bit of play, by design, and it makes feel the whole lamp less solid than it really is.
The on/off button is nice and satisfying to operate, a nice little touch.
The assembly is as tricky as it gets. It's guided by a very clear warning label, in addition to the usual instructions, so that you follow the steps in exactly the right order. But if one makes a mistake there is recovering, one can throw the whole thing away, because the joints snap together, and cannot be separated again. In any case one has to be very gentle, to avoid damaging the exceptionally flimsy wiring.
I've only had it for about a month, and I use it a few time, but I have yet to recharge it, and it's worked reliably so far. Naturally I cannot vouch for its longevity, it will remain to be seen.

Keeps switching off! Anonymous reviewerI’m so sad that my lamp keeps switching off too. I only bought it three days ago and absolutely loved it – it’s really beautiful but the lamp only worked on the first day. By day two it was continually switching itself off and won’t stay on longer for any length of time. I can’t use it anymore as it constantly switches itself off. There clearly is a problem with this product as this is happening to so many people.

After spending an hour trying to put this together (due to my weak wrists) the lamp wouldn’t even turn on. The lamp doesn’t align with the standards of any other item I’ve ever purchased from Ikea.
