The Neiden Bed allowed us to get a double bed base up our stairs (and obviously out again) upon which to lay our mattress. The instructions were clear, albeit convoluted, and I was able to put it together alone. It suits our needs perfectly, the edges are sanded enough to be sharp but not snag on anything and it certainly appears strong enough for the job. In all of these, the instructions are totally illustrative and, as long as you go through them beforehand, perfectly clear and concise.4

Surprisingly great qualityAnonymous reviewerBought this as a cheap short term option when I bought my house but was pleasantly surprised. It's such good quality, absolutely solid and strong. I ended up keeping it as my main bed - 4.5 years and counting with zero issues. Despite being a slightly low frame, it's still high enough for those slim under-bed storage boxes. I will say though - the price has gone up significantly in the last 4 years as the bed was £60 when I bought it.5

The Neiden double bed frameAnonymous reviewerThis comes flat packed with everything needed to put together (you just need a drill or screwdriver for putting in screws). Its sturdy, well made and a great price. Ideal height (with a good mattress) for us "vertically challenged" people. Delivery on day of my choice and courier was really friendly and helpful. Pine is no problem but would like to see it in different colour especially if trying to keep to a colour coordinated room but really happy with this purchase.5

Unreal value for moneyAnonymous reviewerWas a pain to put together but it will be super easy to move if I need to. The middle support bar actually works unlike pretty much every bed I've ever had. Super comfy bed slats, owing to the very sensible design splitting them into two halves. The low headboard is still really great at holding the pillows in too. Excellent design (just be patient in the build)5
Worst ikea build I've ever doneAnonymous reviewerI'm a pro at flat pack but this thing is a nightmare. The instructions are terrible and the fittings are a nightmare and aren't going to last more than one build (I move a lot).

Poor quality and manufactured badlyAnonymous reviewerI bought this as it was cheap and basic which is all I needed. Looked good in store too. However, the item is manufactured poorly, the plug holes are not all aligned correctly, I had to get a replacement leg due to this, which was still very slightly unaligned. I have had to resort to some DIY skills to actually assemble this item as I cannot face another backwards and forwards and long wait to get another replacement piece that might not fit. I regret buying this item. It is below standard for Ikea. I have assembled much more complex pieces from Ikea, but this is the not even fit for assembly. 1
