Unfortunately, it doesn’t lastAnonymous reviewerI was hoping other peoples reviews were from misuse but sadly, after only a couple of months, the chair is already creaking and sounding like it’s on its last limbs. I was never a fan of the fabric texture either and disappointed there weren’t other options. It is otherwise relatively comfortable but given the price, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it, which is a shame as I’ve never had an Ikea product I didn’t rate highly until now. 2
A great armchairAnonymous reviewerWe have two of these in daily use ideal for smaller spaces reclines easily 5
A comfortable snoozing chairAnonymous reviewerThe reviews are a mixed bag, but after trying one in the IKEA store, I took a chance and bought one. Assembly was straightforward, just make sure you've room to do it. I'm not a little bloke and was worried about how the mechanism would cope and I need not have worried. A simple push against the back and it reclines with the leg support rising. Push again and you're near flat. Unlike some others, the rear has to recline to allow the leg support to raise, so ensure you've room behind the chair to allow this action. A great snoozing chair.5
Murex armchairAnonymous reviewerNot enough padding, particularly in the arms3
Muren recliner seat coverAnonymous reviewerThe armchair is functional but not luxurious. I’m flummoxed as to how to clean the fabric. I don’t think it comes off and wiping it does not remove stains. Any suggestions?4
Very happy with purchaseAnonymous reviewerBought June 21 and have used every day. Still as comfortable as day 1. Looking to purchase an accompanying chair so don't have to share!5
A little unstableAnonymous reviewerBought in the reduced section without the arm and head covers for a great price . Took it apart to fit in the back of the car. Reassembled at home easily. The recliner function works very easily, sometimes too easily without having to push hard on the back to have it recline. A little anything when just wanting to sit upright and nestle into the back of the armchair. The padding on the arms feels a little bit thin as on pressing down can feel the wood frame . Otherwise quite comfortable to sit in for periods at a time. I am recovering from a hip operation and sitting for a lot of the day and this armchair is adequate for its purpose. As it was in reduced section not sure if the mechanism is a little bit faulty as it wants to recline with just a little pressure. Potentially new chair would not have this issue.3
Very comfy and has worn wellAnonymous reviewerHad three of these chairs for many years in a beige colour. Extremely comfortable and had no issue in quality. Only regret is there are no extra covers for them.4
Muran chairs are lovely Anonymous reviewerThe only fault I have is that the seat cushion is sagging thru daily use 4
Cheap product that breaks down. Don’t waste your moneyAnonymous reviewerBe aware of this product. The quality is so poor connected with cheap plastic. There is no extended guarantee and no help from IKEA customer service when the chair fell apart and could not be fixed after 14 months with only 6 months of actual usage. I would not even pay £10 for it1
Great - for 6 monthsAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble and comfortable, but sadly after 6 months the wood in the back has broken and the fabric looks destroyed. It also has a tendency to catch fingers in the mechanism.1
Lovely reclinerAnonymous reviewerVery comfy recliner5
