No cable supplied!!Anonymous reviewerGot home to fit, only to find that no connection cable is supplied. Stupid,annoying and ridiculous penny pinching from Ikea. Took back for a refund and brought an alternative which was supplied with a connector cable from Screwfix for less money. Don’t waste your time with the Ikea one like I did.
Difficult to connectAnonymous reviewerI connected four strips insequence. It became completely random which of the four lights would come on. One would come on then a second ten minutes later and the third and fourth at half power. The T connectors allow for so much movement that it was impossible to run the lights in sequence on one supply. In the end I purchased three further power cables and ran all four into the transformer. Now work a treat but there are lots of cables that have to be tied under the cabinets. The clip system to attach the strips are very fiddly, some broke so double sided tape was used.

You need to buy a Vågdal cable too!Anonymous reviewerLooked at this for ages in the store, read the info that says you need a Trådfri driver and a Förnimma power cable. Get home to find you also need a Vågdal cable to connect the Mittled to the Trådfri and that they're an additional £3.50! Does not say that in the shop, does not say that on this website. Of course, you can't get just a £3.50 cable delivered either.
ExcellentAnonymous reviewerIts small compact (a bit fiddly to install) but an excellent light quality from a small sophiosticated bit of kit. The transformers and cables are easy to fit and it works well.
ImpossibleAnonymous reviewerI have found this impossible to make work properly. I would have been quite happy with an on and off switch, but I have been quite unable to find a way to turn it on and off.
Under cabinet lightingAnonymous reviewerGreat product. Though randomly flash in the morning a few times, then stabilise. You need the hub and driver to link all for remote operation.
Illuminating Anonymous reviewerA well designed sleek light strip for worktop illumination. Easy to fit and to join with additional strips for longer runs. You must also buy the transformer and wiring kits to make it work, pity these are not sold as kits. Note, you end up with lots of spare cable which cannot be cut down to your required lengths due to the fittings. Comes in 2 colours so make sure you match components when selecting.
No cable now?!Anonymous reviewerI brought several of these a year or so ago and they came with cables, as you’d expect. I just ordered a couple more (which are now more expensive) and they arrived without cables - you have to buy them separately at an additional £2.50. Annoyingly it doesn’t mention this when you purchase, so you only find out when it arrives without and you can’t fit them. You then have to pay another few quid for delivery!

Good brightness and quality of light and very easy to fit. These are 2700 Kelvin so a warm white.
Our only problem was the picking experience at the store, Ikea Wembley. This area of the lighting department was an absolute tip.
Display incomplete and nothing to tell you which cables and drivers you need to buy. Everything mixed up on the shelves and seemingly no lighting department specialists to help. A staff member from another department helped us pick but we still ended up with two white lamps and one silver lamp. We didn't even know they did a silver version due to the missing display.
So, as Ikea’s displays are far from clear, for these lamps you need to buy:
Individual lamps (They include joining connectors)
Driver (you must total up the wattages of the lamps and select correct driver)
Driver mains cable
Separate Low voltage cable for each run of lamps
Optional dimmer
Light comes with no cable...?Anonymous reviewerI was excited to get home and try the eight lights I bought and assemble them to my kitchen counters, only to find out they don't come with a cable and it doesn't mention that it is required. I have the power supply as mentioned but there was no mention on the box at all about requiring a cable and the website doesn't say its required either.

Intermittent function at bestAnonymous reviewerA very frustrating product.
Integrates well with the cabinets, easy to install and looks good. However, the connection when connecting one unit to another is dreadful where the slightest knock causes the connection to fail. It’s getting to the point where I’m considering gluing them together to stop the fragile connection from failing. Disappointing to say the least.
