I was pleased to discover how to lock the tilt of the backrest (nothing in the assembly notes) as it felt a bit too upright out of the box.
*Pull the height adjustment handle outwards, adjust the backrest tilt, then push the handle back in to lock the position*.4

Back painAnonymous reviewerI have this chair for a while now, but its terrible for the back, it has produce a very bad back pain. I will not recommend to buy it and instead opt for other options. The problem is that the fabric they use for supporting the back is not strong enough, and I have constantly the plastic part hurting my back.1

Lackluster quality.Anonymous reviewerThis chair has an issue wherein it lacks a good ergenomic standard to begin with, this could have been ignored if it wasnt for the seat pad failing to provide any support and tilting due to some form of rod inside that can't be adjusted. This alongside the backrest bolts snapping off just over 2 years post purchase leaving the chair un-useable, this is the worst quality ive experienced from ikea in recent years. How after 2 years is the backrest having bolts snap from the frame, these bolts appear to have oxidisation on the inside in a way that leads to manufacturing defects at the factory,

The only question I have is, do I really need brakes on the wheels, if I'm not sitting in it it is more difficult to move out of the way?
