Ours was chipped but we didn’t realise until it was fully together - too late to change it now. Plus the glass tops only work on the white version.

Bigger than advertised Anonymous reviewerWhat a shame. My gap was 80cm and the one I had delivered was 80.30cm so it was slightly too big so I've had to order the KULLEN. I hope it's as good as the MALM.
okayAnonymous reviewerokay, not the best quality, one of the drawers has a slight issue when opening, the two top draws are not level to one another and the grey colour had several chips. I dont think this will last long in the bedroom to be honest and not entirely happy with all the faults.
HmmmAnonymous reviewerNot entirely happy with the dark grey. It's more of a matte wrap and not the tough veneer finish. They've marked already and that was just upon assembly on very thick carpet. Wish I bought the oak finish but son was insistent on these. I can see myself driving to Glasgow to return them within the 365 days. They'll look ruined within a month of normal use. Really disappointed with the finish.

I have had them years and they look like new, they are so sturdy and well made. I didn’t think I could get the same, and was looking on the net to see if I could find similar. To my surprise I found these, I hadn’t remembered that they were from IKEA, I’ve had them that long, and were still made. I was delighted to be able to extend the units I had with the same ones. They look lovely. These are so easy to deal with, and are in lots of combination’s.

Quality has declinedAnonymous reviewerI brought a set of these when I moved into my first home 8 years ago & it’s survived 2 house moves and still going strong, because it has been so sturdy and brilliant I brought more & the quality has massively declined, a couple of the drawers have already come undone & when building the doweling pieces when pushed into places snapped the wooden bar. Shame really as the price also increased.

What is veneer?
A veneer is a thin wooden sheet fixed on things like particleboards to add a durable surface and a natural wood look – so we enjoy the many benefits of wood without using solid wood. The most common veneer types are birch, ash, oak and beech and we’ve made a special UV lacquer that helps preserve the wood's natural structure. A benefit with a slightly thicker veneer is how you can repair and sand the surface if it’s damaged to give furniture a longer and more beautiful life.
