Product details

Ample storage space is hidden neatly under the bed in 4 large drawers. Perfect for storing duvets, pillows and bed linen.

The storage boxes are easy to roll out and in thanks to the castors on the base.

MALM bed storage boxes work perfectly with MALM bed frame. They fit neatly into the space under the bed and will be flush against sides.

You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard – just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.

This versatile bed frame will look great with your choice of textiles and bedroom furniture.

Adjustable bed sides allow you to use mattresses of different thicknesses.

LURÖY slatted bed base with curved slats helps to absorb your body weight and supports your body, while the open construction allows air to circulate and keeps the mattress fresh.

Read before you buyAnonymous reviewerA decent bed but a few cons to take note of before deciding if this is the bed for you. • As others have said, the drawer combination underneath should be adapted as it's impossible to have side tables with 4 drawers. I originally wanted 4 drawers for maximum storage but had to send 2 back and replace them with the 3 drawer MALM's as bedside tables. • If you have a high humidity in your house, you will have to take the drawers out from time to time and blast the dehumidifier with the drawers fully open as if you have clothes under there they do get stuffy and can have a slightly damp feeling to them. • When first using the bed, the slats were extremely noisy. People online suggested adding things in to stop the noise (which you shouldn't need to do) but I forgot to do that and now after a few months of having the bed the noise has mostly gone away so just takes a period to settle. I would recommend it but drawers need a rethink from IKEA and was happy with the price as it was on sale3
Bed frame dangerAnonymous reviewerFrom day one we have consistently bashed our legs on this frame. Several bruised legs during the first 3 months of having this frame. Not so often now as I pull the bottom of the duvet back to highlight the jutting out posts. Honest opinion, don’t buy it. One day this bed frame will cause a DVT which could lead to catastrophic consequences 1

Large surround on bed makes tucking sheets under the sprung mattress difficult .(Might be easier with lighter foam mattress).Tend to knock legs on the surround when getting out of bed but it's the ideal size shelf for a mobile phone . 4

Great value Anonymous reviewerThis, especially for the cost, is a great bed (I bought it for my spare bedroom, but it would be easily good enough for a mater bedroom too). The extra storage with the drawers is extremely useful & the bedframe itself is pretty easy to put together - probably easier with 2 people, but I managed to do it myself without any issues. I paired this with a good quality mattress that I'd bought previously, which gave me a great quality bed for an excellent price.5

Decently sturdy bed that holds upAnonymous reviewerBought this bed frame with the more expensive slats about three years ago. It survived a move (was taken apart and put together again) and held up pretty well. It got a bit squeaky at some point but the noise was gone after we re-tightened some of the screws. Assembly is a little tricky but nothing outrageous.4

What is veneer?

A veneer is a thin wooden sheet fixed on things like particleboards to add a durable surface and a natural wood look – so we enjoy the many benefits of wood without using solid wood. The most common veneer types are birch, ash, oak and beech and we’ve made a special UV lacquer that helps preserve the wood's natural structure. A benefit with a slightly thicker veneer is how you can repair and sand the surface if it’s damaged to give furniture a longer and more beautiful life.
