Ample storage space is hidden neatly under the bed in 2 large drawers. Perfect for storing duvets, pillows and bed linen.
The storage boxes are easy to roll out and in thanks to the castors on the base.
MALM bed storage boxes work perfectly with MALM bed frame. They fit neatly into the space under the bed and will be flush against sides.
You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard – just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.
This versatile bed frame will look great with your choice of textiles and bedroom furniture.
Adjustable bed sides allow you to use mattresses of different thicknesses.
Good to know
SKORVA midbeam is included in the price but packaged separately. It is required for the stability of the bed frame and to keep mattresses in place.

Most squeaky bed ever!Anonymous reviewerWithin a week or so the bed started being so squeaky and noisy that the sound wakes me up when I make the slightest movement! Even moving your hand while lying on the bed will make it squeak. I've tried everything: re-did all screws and put felt tape on all points where wood touches the metal frame but nothing seems to help. I regret buying this bed. 2 stars only because the bed frame seems sturdy enough and the drawers are quite big and fit a lot of stuff.

Deceiving PicturesAnonymous reviewerSo, the picture shows one side with drawers and in another picture we think there will be a panel, but it is open on one side allowing dust to go inside the drawer easily which is not fair. The only reason why we ordered this is because we trusted the pictures and thought one side drawers and other side panel to close making it look standard but now the situation is we need to move that near to the wall to hide one side and other side with drawer. Look wise also the product is just average and not sure how long this will last.

Taskrabit did not do their task but received the money. We needed to wait 2 weeks for missing screws and pay again for assembly. Think twice not to pay twice

We got 2 diffrent beds - one Black Malm which took him ALL DAY . But mines - it was only 1,5 hour .. I got it diffrent one and it's fantastic .. Only problem is that these bed take ONLY. STANDARD DOUBLE MATRESS. I got one from previous bed and I got it as double - ikea ... Niw Ikea changed the measurement and has changed to STANDARD. DOUBLE .. where is 3-4 cm difference in length & width..
So make sure you get your bed with the Double STANDARD. MATTRESS !!!!!
Lasts around 5 yearsAnonymous reviewerI brought this bed and was fine for the first 2 years it states you can sit up and prop cushions behind however that makes the head board looser. I brought with an Ikea mattress but that is heavy to keep taking off and tightening up. The draws under neath did not last a year and have given up with the wheel mechanism. When I purchased it came with a rubber stoppers for the slats but since on Ikea website they have changed from the rubber stoppers to some sort of hook. I would recommend this bed to be used lightly and not as a dominant everyday bed. And after contacting customer services to replace damage items you have to see if they have them in store so buy this bed if you want less than a year with now problems or occasional use. Love the malm rang but not this bed!
Squeaky, no moreAnonymous reviewerI usually read reviews before making a purchase but didn't on this occasion. Other reviews about the bed squeaking might have put me off.
The bed went together easily, as did the storage boxes, but every time my wife and I turned over the bed squeaked and woke us up. Fortunately I had experienced this with another Ikea bed and knew what to do. I removed the mattress and slats and cut rubber into strips of the appropriate width for the three metal rails. Reapplied the slats and mattress and the problem was solved. Perfectly happy with the bed following this minor modification.
I think Ikea should look into this and perhaps, at little or no cost, supply the rubber strips as part of the bed.
