How to get it

A clean design with solid wood veneer. Place the bed freestanding or with the headboard against a wall. You also get spacious storage boxes that roll out smoothly on castors.

Ample storage space is hidden neatly under the bed in 2 large drawers. Perfect for storing duvets, pillows and bed linen.

The storage boxes are easy to roll out and in thanks to the castors on the base.

MALM bed storage boxes work perfectly with MALM bed frame. They fit neatly into the space under the bed and will be flush against sides.

Wood veneer gives you the same look, feel and beauty as solid wood with unique variations in grain, colour and texture.

You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard – just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.

This versatile bed frame will look great with your choice of textiles and bedroom furniture.

Adjustable bed sides allow you to use mattresses of different thicknesses.

I went through manyyy options and finally found that because the slats weren't secured they moved all the time rubbing against the metal it sits on. We put masking tape all down the metal and I put velcro on the end slats to stop movement so much and now it's silent! Phew!! Strong enough for a growing teenager 4

Squeaky soundAnonymous reviewerI recently bought a malm single bed, but it’s been causing me sleepless nights due to the squeaky noises. I made sure to tighten all the screws properly and assembled it according to the instructions. However, even just sitting on it causes squeaky sounds, and when I lie down, every time I turn over, the creaking noise is loud enough to disturb my family on the floor below or next room. Because of this, I wake up every time I shift positions, and I’ve been severely sleep deprived. I have noticed that this issue is frequently mentioned in online reviews, so I don’t think I’m the only one experiencing it. That said, some reviews say they haven’t had any problems, so I’m wondering if I might have received a defective product. I’m at a loss for what to do.2

What is veneer?

A veneer is a thin wooden sheet fixed on things like particleboards to add a durable surface and a natural wood look – so we enjoy the many benefits of wood without using solid wood. The most common veneer types are birch, ash, oak and beech and we’ve made a special UV lacquer that helps preserve the wood's natural structure. A benefit with a slightly thicker veneer is how you can repair and sand the surface if it’s damaged to give furniture a longer and more beautiful life.
