Not as good as I thought it would be.Anonymous reviewerPurchased this a while ago as a guest “put me up” in the spare room. It was used the for the very first time last night, by myself of all things. It was easy enough to assemble on initial purchase and has since sat in the spare room. Over time, the mattress has obviously taken the shape over the top of the frame so upon first use it wouldn’t stay down until weight was applied ~ a minor detail though. Sadly, the mattress is hard and uncomfortable, with absolutely no “give” whatsoever. I wish I had got a softer one, however, taking the price into consideration, it may well have been more prudent to just buy an actual proper bed instead. It’s good for space saving in a small space.
Not as good as expectedAnonymous reviewerHaving previously bought and built Ikea goods we assumed this product would be up to the same good standard. However, first problem was that the allen key was of poor quality so it wore away quickly and would no longer tighten adequately. Once constructed the beds wouldn't fold back up cleanly. The parts rub together causing scratching of the metal tubing. It makes for very difficult use of the product even though we sourced and used a better quality allen key to tighten everything up correctly. Such a shame as overall look and comfort is good.

Better instructions pleaseAnonymous reviewerafter the build it’s then time to wrap the Velcro straps on the mattress around some part of the bed… perhaps it’s me but a line drawing doesn’t always paint a thousand words, a decent high quality photo might have though, it took me a while to actually find where these straps attached as the pictures in the instructions, for me, where of no use.

The frame is very solid and well made. The mattress thick and of decent size.
We bought the option with the vansbro cover. It is a heavyweight material with additional padding and gives the chair a feel of quality and looks durable.
Very pleased with this item and visiting family members are now considering purchasing one for their homes.

MattressAnonymous reviewerApart for all the usual issues with IKEA products, when we are being sold part of the order, for example Mattresses, we feel we are being taken for a ride. I bought one, happy with it as it did what it was meant to do, not saying that the Video shown is not what we have received exactly, especially with the mattress. But, regardless of some inaccuracy, we went and bought another, but the new mattress is even worse, it did not plump/fluff up as stated, not even as much as our first purchase. So, I can only request for reprenstatives of IKEA to read this and either provide a new mattress, or advise otherwise, on how to resolve this issue. They need to understand, this can totally disrupt a person's back and may end up in long term injury.

Great sofa bedAnonymous reviewerWe just bought this for a small third bedroom(study!) for kids popping home. There were no paper instructions in the box so we had to look online and did a few things wrong as the instructions were not good. But now it is built, it a a comfy chair and bed. It’s a big chair and a good full length bed. Very impressed and a ten year guarantee. Very happy. Instructions in a box would have been good though. Not easy online when your phone keeps switching off.
