Your mattress stays dry because a waterproof layer prevents any liquid from passing through.

The soft, thin and ventilating mesh is made of 100% polyester ‒ a durable material which is tested, approved and free from harmful substances and additives.

A good choice if you are allergic to dust mites since the protector is machine-washable at 60°C, a temperature that kills dust mites.

Elastic ribbon in each corner to keep the mattress protector in place.

Quick to remove, easy to wash.

I knew these fitted EuropeanAnonymous reviewerI knew these fitted European sized mattresses , which we have , but I hadn't realised the width was different. This means this is not quite wide enough to cover the mattress. My mistake. Please double check your mattress size before buying. The cover itself feels robust and comfortable and not the rustling plastic type that we previously had. I'm yet to wash it so don't know how well it washes yet.3
Poor fitAnonymous reviewerThe product only fits the extendable mattress when at full length. Was the only option for the width of the mattress and the recommended product. Most of it has to go under the mattress while at the shorter lengths. Ikea need to make a better product to be the recommended one for the extendable mattresses.2

But it’s a shame that they don’t do fitted sheets and mattress protectors for the extendable bed we purchased (MINNEN - DARK YELLOW) My son pulls the protector off every single night as it only loosely wraps around the bed. I’ve hd to order some bed sheet clips off amazon to try and solve the problem!3

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
