Good chair but can’t get the seat cover off to washAnonymous reviewerI’ve had this chair for ~5 years now and it’s been working well for me however, if you’re looking for something that will have a removable seat cover (the zip underneath made me hopeful!) then you might be in for a bad surprise… the cover is blocked by the mechanism once assembled. So once it’s on, it’s on.3
Not fit for purposeAnonymous reviewerA very cheaply-made chair. I put everything together and, as expected, a few days later some bolts worked loose so I decided to tighten them. In tightening the bolts the socket heads gave way so I now can't unscrew or screw them up.
The castors don't freely roll. I can't believe this was a deliberate feature.
The worst thing? Random and exceptionally frustrating and annoying static electric shocks. It's the worst when I've forgotten to ground myself (ie get a mandatory shock from the metal feet) and then merrily go about my way until I touch something like the light switch and get my surprise.
2 stars rather than one because it's quite comfy but I'll never buy from Ikea again.2
Very comfy but castors don't rollAnonymous reviewerThis is a very comfortable office chair with a nice clean look. Great lumbar support.
However, I had to replace the castors as none of them rolled, which was quite disappointing.4
ComfyAnonymous reviewerNice and comfy just what I needed5
lovely chair but a couple of criticisms Anonymous reviewerWe bought this for our 13 year old for her desk and it looks really lovely in her room but because she isn't as heavy as an adult the locking wheels are a bit of an issue (they unlock when you sit down) they don't unlock fully because she is light and so moving the chair is hard work and also ruck her carpet up. It would have been good to have a removable cover for washing although I did give it a good wash on the chair with Vanish stain remover and it turned out well!5
Very comfortable Anonymous reviewerBought to use at our computer table. Perfect height as easily adjustable. Rollers are fluid. Easy to assemble. Definitely recommend 5
The best chair!Anonymous reviewerThis is such a comfy chair for the office as it has really great back support. It was easy to assemble and really good value. We bought two more!5
An office chair that's pretty, comfy, AND affordable (?!)Anonymous reviewerBought this chair to go with a desk in my parent's guest room. In my experience, most office chairs are either: a) pretty, comfy, but obscenely expensive; b) pretty, affordable, but break your back; c) comfy, affordable, but look like turd; or d) look like turd, break your back, AND are obscenely expensive.
This chair is one of those rare unicorn office chairs that is pretty, comfy, AND affordable at the same time. Absolutely delighted. Only minor drawback is the caster lock feature. It sounds pretty neat on paper but is in reality a bit of a hassle when I need to pull the chair out from under the desk.5
Great chairAnonymous reviewerIdeal for work use5
Looks great, simple to build, although unsure if there is a faultAnonymous reviewerThe chair looks a lot better than my previous ugly office chair. Its got nice back support and a wide base. Although I've been using it for a short while since I put it together (2hrs) and I can already feel that it will need some additional padding as its not as comfortable on the bottom as the ugly chair!
The wheels move fine when sat on it, a little resistant when you're not but that is part of the safety design of the product.
It went together really easily but there is a grating feeling when moving on the chair and its a little wobbly even when it is locked. I'm not sure if that grating feeling is the norm or if there is something wrong with my chair and unfortunately I can't find anywhere on the Ikea site or information to check, which is most disappointing. I don't think I'm going to send it back as faulty, I'll try to persevere with it.2
comfortable upright chairAnonymous reviewerI really wish I'd had this chair two years ago. It's very comfortable for sitting and working at the dining table. I like the rocking back mechanism and the height adjustment and the lumbar support, although not adjustable, is perfect for my back.5
Comfortable chairAnonymous reviewerI like the sitting position and how you can rock back on it. Very happy with my purchase. Also much more attractive than most office chairs.5
Second one we buy. VeryAnonymous reviewerSecond one we buy. Very happy with it5
Firm, comfortable desk chairAnonymous reviewerAt first, this chair seemed to have little cushioning and padding, and we feared that it would be very firm. Whilst I haven't sat at my desk for 8 or more hours since we bought this, I have sat for a couple of hours and have to say that the chair is very supportive, whilst remaining firm.
There are very few adjustments that you can make to customise the seating position; you can raise and lower the height of the seat (although the range is not as great as our previous chair), and you can adjust the ease with which the chair reclines. There is no option to adjust lumbar support or to adjust the back of the chair independently of the seat. This may be an issue for some people, especially if they're particularly tall or short/petite.
Overall, I think the chair is a good choice and looks nice in our newly-redecorated home office. However, given the lack of controls I think the price is a little steep at £100 for the complete chair. I'd have been more satisfied if I'd paid around the £75 mark.4
Very comfortableAnonymous reviewerVery comfortable5
Excellent chairAnonymous reviewerVery, very happy with this chair. It’s comfortable and supportive.5
NoisyAnonymous reviewerI got this chair four weeks ago, I find it very comfortable but it makes a few annoying noises that affect my concentration while studying/working.2
Great ChairAnonymous reviewerThis Chair is the best chair I have ever bought. It's really well made.5
Great for a BoardroomAnonymous reviewerPurchased 10 of these for the office boardroom and very happy with them. They look great and are very comfortable, everyone loves them. Took 2 of us about 30-40 mins to assemble all of them - very easy to put together. Very good value for money.5
Good quality office chairAnonymous reviewerWe were looking for a basic office chair for our home study and wanted light colours to go with the room. The chair was easy to put together and feels sturdy.4
