Nice, comfortable, but doesn't roll well on carpetAnonymous reviewerThe chair is nice and compact, and is comfortable to sit on with reasonable height adjustment. As mentioned in the title, though, the castors don't seem to work very well on carpet, and rolling it, even when no one is sitting on it, is not easy!3
The chair smells so stronglyAnonymous reviewerI cannot use it, it stinks! its been aired for over a week and still stinks. My entire room smells of either plastic or the fire retardant spray and the chat bot has asked me the same things for 30 minutes and won't connect me to a real person. Never buying from Ikea again1
Was better when they still sold armsAnonymous reviewerThis chair is great, really comfortable and supportive. Much more so than HATTEFJÄLL which is too upright in the locked position and too flopped back in the relaxed position (we own both). Another alternative "TOSSBERG / MALSKÄR" we also own, and it is softer, but not supportive and not good for task work its more expensive than this one, but feels cheaper and lighter weight. The Langfjall is the best allrounder - ( it was ) - I Just bought another one today and they have stopped selling the armrests for it. A real shame as its much less useful now. I will be buying some 2nd hand armrests from Ebay if I can. I have contacted Customer services and they cannot supply the arms despite Ikea still selling them in europe which is annoying. I cant undertand why they cant just sell them as an extra - I'm about to pay an additional £30-£40 for some 2nd hand arms so I'm sure I'm not the only person that would buy them as a separate item if they were stocked.4
Great chair for the valueAnonymous reviewerWas deciding between a few chairs from IKEA and from other retailers. This one was in-stock, so I bought it. It came together in 15 min easily and even has a hidden storage pouch for the allen wrench you inevitably keep. The shape supports the lumbar well, and it has auto-brake wheels, so it can't move around unless there's weight on it. It's also such a pleasant color; the base is white, powder-coated metal, and the chair cover is a nice green. It doesn't look too "office" for a home because of the color scheme. I've been using it for a week now, and love it.5
ComfortableAnonymous reviewerI tried many chairs before settling on the Langfjall. I use it at my computer desk and when I practice my music. I tried many chairs at all prices and this chair was in my opinion the best all rounder.5
ComfortableAnonymous reviewerThis is the most comfortable office chair I’ve ever had5
Great value, surprisingly comfortable.Anonymous reviewerLooks good. Surprisingly comfortable and with the way the back of the chair is shaped it ensures you keep a good posture.5
Langjall chairAnonymous reviewerGreat chair!5
Lovely home office chairAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble, and more attractive than your average office chair5
Stylish and comfortableAnonymous reviewerI have had similar chairs in the past but this one is extremely comfortable for my lower back5
Fussy customer satisfiedAnonymous reviewerTwo adults with different tastes could be hard to please, one with previous back surgery and the other with comfort at heart. We tried all your chairs in store but we also needed a chair that would have to slot into a small office so it could not have arm rests. The jangfjall ticked all the boxes, fits beautifully and comfortable for both users.5
BrillAnonymous reviewerWhat a brilliant purchase. The chair was easily ordered online, delivered as agreed and is just what I needed.5
Perfect for all family!Anonymous reviewerI bought this chair for my 10-year-old daughter and she absolutely loves it. The height adjustment is very easy to use, so she can set it to a comfortable level for studying. The backrest gives her good support and helps her sit upright, which is great for her posture. It’s sturdy, stylish, and perfect for a child’s desk setup.5
Excellent ✨Anonymous reviewerThis chair is great, as a 6‘2 woman it supports my height and back very well. The backwards tilt is a nice touch when you need to take a break from the laptop too. Great colour looks more expensive than it was. Thanks IKEA!! 5
Comfortable home office chairAnonymous reviewerTicks the boxes and looks stylish 5
Love it!Anonymous reviewerSuper comfortable and very stylish. A tad tricky to get the riser handle through the slot in the fabric, otherwise easy to assemble.5
Chair OK, Castors are junkAnonymous reviewerLasted a couple of years before the castors sheared off. It doesn't roll very easily on carpet tile. Much better castors available online.3
Good chairAnonymous reviewerComfy shaped well 4 my back 5
Compact, comfortable office chair Anonymous reviewerFits very well in a tight space. Comfortable. Well made. Recommended. 5
Good chair but with nigglesAnonymous reviewerI was going to return this because my synthetic clothing generated so much static when it rubbed against the fabric that anything electronic i touched after getting up was going to get damaged. But a relative found some great Llama patterned cotton upholstery fabric and made a cover for it which is sewn onto the existing cover. To sew the new cover on, we had to bin the plastic and fabric under-seat covers that hid the mechanisms but you can't see the mechanism anyway so no loss. The static problems are gone and the chair is now known as the Llama chair ! Maybe it could do with some additional padding along the top as i occasionally notice the internal tubed frame when leaning back but not a big issue. The base and the mechanisms seem well made and feel like they will last a long time. If the chair came with a fabric covering that didn't produce static electricity when used with synthetic clothing, i would give it 5 stars.3
