  • This product is suitable on smooth wall surfaces such as tiles, marble, glass, metal, stone and concrete.

    Do not use on wood, wallpaper, plasterboard, enamel varnish surfaces or plastic wall materials.

    Before applying the wall adapter and tesa glue, the mounting surface must be dust-, grease-, lime-free and dry. After thorough cleaning, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol.

    Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone.

    Dispose of the contents at a waste collection point or recycling centre in accordance with local or national regulations. Empty packaging can be disposed of with household waste according to local or national regulations.

    Always follow the recommended curing time of 24 hours.

Terrible, don’t waste your money and timeAnonymous reviewerI purchased with the good faith that ikea would be supplying a quality product. I meticulously followed the instructions and used the fixing compound to attach a towel rail and shower caddy to smooth bathroom tiles. Te tiles were cleaned with iso and allowed to dry. Plates stuck to the wall by raving the film from the sticky back. Adhesive applied using the mini syringe and allowed to cure for 24 hours before trimming the excess and attaching the rail and caddy. Seemed secure but lasted just over a week and fell off. Annoying waste of my time and money 1

Skip the drill, and trust the adhesive

Would you rather avoid drilling holes into your bathroom wall? Many people feel the same. Still, hooks and other storage solutions are needed to keep things tidy. That’s why we developed KROKSJÖN adhesive wall mounting kit. Now you can put up all your accessories without damaging the tiles or walls.

”The KROKSJÖN kit serves as a mount for several of our accessory series,” says Sofia Helbro, one of our product development engineers. “But it’s essential that it’s firmly attached to the wall. So, we teamed up with tesa, one of the leading experts when it comes to glue and tape solutions.”

Strong and safe-to-use glue

That marked the beginning of an intense collaboration – under rather unusual circumstances. “Our requirements state that we must not use chemicals that require warning labels. So we had to develop a glue that met those demands.” After a long and challenging development process, we reached our goal: a glue that is safe to use, yet strong enough to hold several kilos.

Leaves no traces

For a long time, suction cups or tape were the only options for attaching hooks in the bathroom, unless you wanted to drill. The downside is that they can’t hold much weight. “The good thing about the adhesive KROKSJÖN is that it holds considerably more weight than a suction cup and adheres just as good to concrete as it does to glass or tiles.” Installing the kit requires no tools and carries no risk of damaging the waterproofing membrane. “And when you move or want to remodel your bathroom, you can simply remove it all. Without any glue residue or holes left on the wall.
