Great idea but…Anonymous reviewerI bought about 6 of these for various cupboards, wardrobes etc. putting the batteries in is a bit challenging. Haven’t charged yet as hesitate to put in situ as haven’t finished painting.
However, nice level of light3
Good productAnonymous reviewerGood product very bright but do need charging a lot because run out quite quickly 4
Led 300mm long lightAnonymous reviewerFantastic so good and the quality is very good. 5
Partially productive Anonymous reviewerCould do with a strip of paper or something to mark out the area to place screws on the area you want to fit it too3
Great for cupboard lights Anonymous reviewerI love these . I have them in our new wardrobe and my kitchen cabinets. The turn on when I open door and I only need to charge every 4 or 5 weeks. Great item I'll be getting some more. I'm not sure why others have an issue. I have 6 and no issues 5
Good lights...butAnonymous reviewerThese are great light that can be turned onto auto, so that when you open your wardrobe doors they automatically come on, but you need to make sure they are both mounted in the centre, but instead slightly off centre in the wardrobe, otherwise the lights think you have opened the doors if there is a slight gap and someone walks by, other than that, they are good, hence 4 stars.4
Two weeks in and working wellAnonymous reviewerpurchased both a 30 & a 50 cm light and installed in two cupboards. reading the reviews i first used standard AA batteries, 3 for the 50cm unit and 2 for the 30cm unit. I also used double sided velcro tape in order to mount as I was unsure as to unit size effectiveness in location. Units have been operating well and as suggested on the Web site without issues. I use them on auto, so they come on when the door is opened and or when sensing motion if doors are not closed after initially being tripped. I did purchase brand named rechargeable batteries and fitted these into the units and they have both been working as expected for the last two weeks without fault, and I might add, without requiring to the batteries to be recharged. I will note that I charged the batteries to full utilizing the USB C fitting in the light units, this initially did take time to charge, not sure if a dedicated battery charger would be quicker, but dedicated battery charger unit is not required.5
Quality product and made the room look good as in display the clothes Anonymous reviewerThe battery needs to be beside location, also advise getting rechargeable battery. Simply standard ones just don’t last long in these lights4
Complete waste of money Anonymous reviewerI bought 3 of them , one big and two small, the bigger one working well for a month , then I tried to change the batteries and wasn’t working ! You are charging it and then lasts 1 minute ! Same with the other small ones ! Completely waste of money ! I should have read the reviews 1
UnusableAnonymous reviewerThis arrived looking in good order but try as I might the screw on the battery cover would not undo. Very poor quality. A one off? or a regular occurrence? I don't know.1
Rubbish battery lifeAnonymous reviewerRubbish battery life, will cost a fortune in batteries 1
Works OK but not my first choice Anonymous reviewerThis is a replacement for the wired version I'd expected to get for my wardrobes. There's a delay in getting the availability of stock onto the online ordering for customers using remote access tools to design their large items. As a result I wasted money on having plug sockets put in etc which could have been spent on other things. This item works fine and is less expensive than the product that I originally intended to use. I'd say it needs to be recharged every two months or so and this is as easy as charging your phone..3
Shockingly poor Anonymous reviewerThis lasts all of 1 hr when turned on.
I have to charge this every 3 days, and it won’t work when plugged in on charge!!?
What a joke!! Who in ikea thought this would be a good idea???1
Stopped workingAnonymous reviewerStopped working within a couple of weeks.1
Only works when plugged inAnonymous reviewerWhat is the point in having batteries when it only works plugged in?1
Keeps lighting up when I pass the wardrobe Anonymous reviewerMounted it to the middle of the underneath of the upper shelf. But when I pass the wardrobe with the doors closed, the sensor picks me up. 1
Don't believe the poor reviewsAnonymous reviewerReally happy with this light. Very responsive in my under-stairs cupboard and turns off after 60s as per the manual.
I think some people may have had issues with batteries rather than the light. Using 2400mAh rechargeable AAs gave me around 6 hours continuous light. I then recharged using while they were in the unit over USB-C.
Installation was easy - really cool mechanism for securing the mounting points to the wall. Very satisfied.5
Drains battery for a nightAnonymous reviewerSet to auto mode, it uses battery within a night. Switched to rechargable battery, also need to take out the battery to charge every morning. It is very annoying.
If you just connect the light to power cable (there is a usb-c i/o), it does not turn on (don't know the use of this inlet/outlet?) So the only way is to use battery/rechargable battery.1
I have several of these. They’re perfect.Anonymous reviewerAfter getting a few of the white version of these for my pantry cupboard and airing cupboard, I also got some of the grey ones to put above the storage in the porch.
They are incredibly easy to install, simple to use and the battery life is excellent. Having had three since August, I have only had to charge one of them once.
Would definitely recommend. 5
Pretty Nifty LightsAnonymous reviewerMy one and ONE and only moan ia that thr sticky pads are not the best and the lights have what looks like sockets for some kind of mount so where are those?
APART from that...
These are pretty useful for my kitchen cupboards where I get in the way of the light - don't have to dissect them as much as I used to.
Battery life, despite some reviews here, seems good - I mean I put some fully charged batteries in when I got the lights last month and they still turn on when doors open and off a few mins after.
Charging shouldn't be hard, maybe easier to use a power bank with a USB-C rather than taking the light out.4
